This book was a delightful surprise to me. I went into thinking that I was not going to enjoy it at all and expecting a "read that been there" kind of reaction. What I got was a fresh fairy story with wonderful characters and lots of action and twists. This is a great book for young readers who enjoy a bit of fantasy. Girls especially will like the book.

I can't believe I forgot this one came out last week! I flew through this one today as I've been waiting to find out what happens with Reign. Reign the Radiant is a Valkyrie who is trying to outrun her past. Her lover Aidan was killed before he could marry Reign and was also cursed. He continually reincarnates to find Reign and be together once more, but every time he dies a horrible death. Reign is tired of being chased and when she runs into Declan she is surprised to find that Aidan has once again been reincarnated but he hates the Lore people. He captures Reign and brings her to the Order facility where she will be questioned and probably killed. Now Reign has to decide if she wants Declan to remember her, which could kill him, or to stop him from remembering which might kill her. Ahh the turmoil. This was another great book in the series although it was a little annoying at how far back the book started. This series has books that are occuring simultaneously, so sometimes it feels as though details are being reiterated but it's being seen from a different point of view. We've seen this facility before but it was in Carrow's book (in which we saw Reign being dragged by her cell) and now in Reign's book we see Carrow behind the cell not knowing what was about to happen to her. It's an interesting way of doing things, but it can get slightly tiresome when you just want to know what happens next! Of course, this won't stop me from reading the next books!

I wasn't quite sure about this series at first, but I read the first 20% on her webpage and from then on Jeaniene Frost has had me hooked! I can't get enough of Cat and Bones and Frost writes with the perfect mixture of action & romance.

** spoiler alert ** Joanne Fluke writes another good mystery with Hannah Swensen about to help her "dear" mother launch a book. Mike, the handsome, grinning, sexy sheriff's deputy gets caught in even more lies. Norman and the "dream house" he lives in seems to be more appealing to Hannah. I realize that for Hannah to make up her mind between the two men would seem like "jumping the shark" but I grow weary of Hannah's need to put up with Mike's lies. The books premise is OK, but I enjoyed Norman and Hannah's growing closeness. I enjoy Joanne Fluke, especially her recipes. I'm disappointed that her website doesn't contain past and present recipes.
