This is inspiring & makes you feel like elementary school can actually be saved. Great tips that both parents & teachers should use to engage & interact with children.

Why the sudden drop off to two stars when books 1 & 2 received 4 stars? Because the book felt rushed (particularly toward the end) and when it wasn't rushed, it was boring. So I guess you could pin it to a pacing issue? Also, several characters (including the main one) had semi-justified but not well-constructed personality shifts to the point where I stopped caring about the characters. A book is never going to have a good review from me if I stop caring about what the main character is going through because she went from a strong, independent character to a whiny emo Bella-from-Twilight. Along those lines, I got really excruciatingly tired of the love triangle aspect. I was expecting that, after an awesome Hunger Games, and a still good, but very much middle book, Catching Fire, that Mockingjay would be an adequate conclusion to the series. I was very disappointed.

If you actually imagine her creeping naked around the periphery of the room, it's creepy as hell.

Thoroughly enjoyable, as to be expected from Adams, though not quite as good as the first.

I thought I would try to read some of Faulkner's classics, but found them very hard to get through. His writing is daunting to say the least. Maybe it's something I'll return to later on life, and appreciate more. I'm still in the middle of As I Lay Dying, which I left back in the States. Clearly I'm in no hurry to finish this one.

My copy is horribly dog-eared and beat up from years of use. An indispensable guide that I wouldn't go without. I've been perusing it nostalgically while serving out my exile here in Florida :(.
I read this in high school and remember liking it, for a sci-fi action sort of book. And it totally freaked me out because we got a hurricane when I was right in the middle of it--eek!
It kept me at a bit of a distance, but certainly worth reading; its short anyway.
Atlantic Monthly writer Cullen Murphy explores the world of feminist Bible scholars. Feminism has been described as the next intellectual revolution in Bible scholarship. The writing is witty and engaging. Murphy draws fascinating portraits of the pre-eminent female Bible scholars today. Their research is fascinating and much in need.
