I'm really addicted to these books. I've been reading them on my iPhone Kindle app. It fills in all that empty time when I'm away from home. I saw a reviewer call this a weak novel, but I disagree, I think a lot of very interesting things happened and I'm looking forward to seeing how they progress in the next novel.

The second of a two part series. Again, Guy Gavriel Kay writes beautifully and it's a treat to read.

Damn you, Amanda Eyre Ward! I was going to read a couple of chapters (they're short!) in bed last night, just to get a sense of the book, and almost THREE hours later, I turned off the light. I don't even like it as much as "How to Be Lost," but I couldn't stop once I'd started. And I'm regretting it this morning - this is SO not the day to be tired - I have a budget meeting at the synagogue tonight! I finished this book by scanning some of the later chapters. Not a bad book, but kind of weird - about a woman on death row and some other women connected to her. Not nearly as compelling as How to Be Lost.

started this book on cd a long time ago and didn't get to finish, so finally picked it up at the library. It is the story of a japanese american family trying to find their place in the 60's I think. The story is told my 8-12 year Katie. It is poignant and sweet and funny. I do NOT like sad books and unfortunately this is sad and comes as a surprise. I spent some of this afternoon crying over this book. sigh.. what a baby... anyway, it was worth it. A fabulous book, that you can learn a lot from. Life, discrimination, family, pain, just good over all. Great writer.

Took a little time to get into, but I love how honest she is. Doesn't make the feral cat saving pretty, but she does put into an honorable light. Plus I got some laughs from it.
