*This review contains a bit of spoilers if you haven't read Archangel's Blood & Archangel's Kiss* Reenter Nalini Singh’s unique world filled with angels, vampires and guild hunters (vampire hunters). Elena is one of the top active guild hunters and from the beginning of her story to now, her life has taken a drastic turn that she could have never imagined. What do you expect from a woman who hunts vampires for a living, right? Elena now finds herself in love with Raphael, the archangel of New York and a newly turned angel herself, which was impossible, up until now. Elena tries hard to get her life on track while dealing with being a newly made angel, her relationship with Raphael and the new and unknown threat to the world. She defiantly has got her hands filled. The story brings a whole new twist on the phrase “guess who’s coming to town”. I really enjoyed Nalini’s writing an Archangel Consort is no different. With the guild hunter series Nalini breathed new life into angels and vampires that are strongly unique but actually works within the story. There’s a dark edge and power to the angels and vampires that intrigues me. I enjoyed the journey that Elena goes through and how things didn’t come easy for her. There was a lot of blood, sweat and tears that she went through in trying to solve this case. She didn’t just wake up and was this all powerful being now. She had to learn and grow and fight for what she wanted. Including her relationship with Raphael. There was a good balance of steamy sexy scenes and scenes where Raphael and Elena got to know each other better as well as their relationship as a couple. Showing their secrets and vulnerability to each other with the situations tossed at them. No instant happily ever after here, which I really appreciated. There are so many great characters within the book, mainly Raphael’s Seven (you’ll understand when you read it), with such interesting backgrounds themselves that I wanted to more about them. I wanted them to have more of a presence within the story then they already had which I don’t know if that is a bad or good thing? Possible branch off series? There was a lot of mystery and intrigue with finding out who the threat was and I love the added danger. Nalini really kept me guessing all the way to the end of the story with how the story would pay out. In reconciliation or bloodshed? And I have to say that the ending left possibilities that could be further explored while leaving me satisfied. Archangel Consort really kept me entertained from the beginning of the story all the way up to the end. The world that Nalini Singh created had all the danger, intrigue, mystery and romance to keep a reader entertained.

Very solid, if unspectacular, introduction to Greek history.
I've always hated this book and the message it sends. That never satisfied boy takes and takes and takes all the tree is willing to give and at the end comes back to sit on her stumpy carcass. A good example of how a child should not treat his mother.

Henry James is released from prison and goes to work for his step-father, an exterminator. To learn the trade, he follows first AJ, the most disgusting human being and the best rat catcher in the country, and then Stretch, a cowboy-hat-wearing, vengeance-doling Buddhist. What he sees out on the job will haunt readers forever. Exterminators is the tale of the thin line between controlling a pest problem and being overrun. The concept, and the art that goes with it, is so, so freaky. The only part that didn't work for me was Henry's girlfriend's connection to a big evil corporation that manufatures roach poison. It is too generic a subplot for a comic as idiosyncratic as this.

Not a very good counting book. It could have been done a little better. The pictures are pretty but I wanted more. Ages 2+

A suspensful twist of surprisement and intresting details of a what could have been or was the possible suspect of the perfect but also cliche crime.

While entertaining and clever, not extrordinary enough to steal my heart away from Agatha Christie. James' books seem to be pretty dark; in fact, I actually abandoned another one of her books for that very reason. For the most part, the novel moves at a somber pace without a hint of levity to lighten the mood. Still, it was a solid and well written mystery.
