This book was good but was an overview of previously read material. Some new facts but as much as has been written about the subject about the only thing you get is a little more complete cronology of events. I would still read in any case.

I read this book at Christmas and found it very strange and convulted. It is a strange mystery where a man takes the blame for a crime he did not commit for a woman he loves, who in return does not share his love, and eventually confesses to the crime. Not sure that I would recommend it.

I feel like I read this book even though I had not because it was SO SIMILAR to SO MANY OTHER BOOKS I HAVE READ by her... seriously.. and the end...made the whole book pointless.. like many of her other books..

I first read this novel in high school and it was the one of four novels I read in my English Lit classes that changed my life (Catch-22, The Handmaid's Tale and Catcher in the Rye were the others). It is a strong treatment of themes like discrimination, fanaticism and xenophobia wrapped in a great story of a strength and perseverance in the face of overwhelming odds. As a teenager who felt a strong sense of alienation amongst his peers, this book was one of the first I read that spoke to the outcast in me and let me know that I was not alone.

okay seriously depite the cheesy titles and somewhat cheesy romance angle (Curran always popping up to exchange barbs - cheesy but i love it) this has to be my favorite urban fantasy series. the writing is tight - no excess explaining, a story arc that keeps moving forward across the series, and finally a heroine that isn't super whiny. love these books.
Amazing! Just amazing. All I can say is that I never read books like this but I'm going to start. There were about 4-5 times when I was shocked by what I was reading (as in "omg! no way! what a great twist!"). Sweet.

I know this book was intended for teens, but it is the typically excellent Orson Scott Card. The story is a nicely crafted original plotted combination of fantasy and sci-fi. It also takes a very original approach to time travel and relativity. I look forward to the sequels, but I suspect that Card will have trouble keeping the story interesting as a good deal of the mystery was dispelled at the end of this book.
