This book really sucked me in right in the beginning. I loved the two main characters Lena and Doon. This is about an underground city that is diminishing. The food is running low and soon the entire city will be covered in darkness. Really great Dystopian book for a younger readers. The ending had me wanting to pick up the next book. I also saw the film that was made a few years ago and thought it was ok. I loved the leading actress in the movie but I felt Doon's character was a little flat.

It's an interesting book club read. If you're interested in reading about the current reverse of feminism, demonstrated by Levy with the "Girls Gone Wild" phenomena, this is a good, quick read.

Good story from what I remember. The author's depiction of the future is intereseting. Rather than it being an advanced age like most stories, it ends up being more primitive. I do feel that the strife between the Morlocks and the Eloi could have been fleshed out more fully.

This book was "non-fiction" disguised as "fiction" (much like "State of Fear"). A good way to disguise learning ;). I found the material extremely fascinating - especially all the information about gnostics and the beginnings and history of the Christian church(es). I think it would be very educational to everybody, regardless of their religion. It's always nice to learn the history of your beliefs.
