BEST. BOOK. EVER. Roald Dahl was a sick, talented man. Sometimes I still try to move things with my eyes.

So far I really like this book. The author can occasionally come off as a bit of an intellectual/cultural know-it-all but overall he has allot of really interesting and often profound things to say. The writing style is very easy to read and he has a ridiculously sharp wit. Anyone that wants to better understand American culture should definitely read this book.

Very cute story about Santa and his red suit. Christmas wouldn't be the same if Santa changed his suit! Great Holiday book for children. Would be great right before Christmas break. This book could even be used for a math game on how many times "red" was used.

Ender's Game was my first really enjoyable adventure into Sci-Fi reading. I would highly recommend this book for all readers of fiction, not just Sci-Fi fans.

A fascinating journey through neuroscience, physiology, and the power of music. I have first-hand seen the positive effects of music on elderly/isolated people in the work that I do at NEC, and I highly recommend this book if you are interested in the "WHY" behind that phenomenon. A bit dry/technical at times, but the stories are truly amazing.

It started out really interesting (especially with the King Lear similarities) but in the middle I lost interest. I really didn't want to read a story about incest either.

I found this book to fulfill all my needs as a reader: funny, heart-breaking, pensive... it's something I think that can only be captured by the innocence/idiosyncracies of the child narrator. I literally could not put this book down-- to the point where I was attempting to walk around my neighborhood whilst reading. Jonathan Safran Foer is one of those authors who inspires instantaneous jealousy and admiration for his incredible talent as a storyteller even though he's only, what?, 28? Something like that. Ugh.

An interesting look on communal living in the sixties and how one commune in california fell apart. What fascinated me the most was the hypocrisy of the characters and the believability of the story. The cover looks like classic cliche hippieness but don't let that deter you.

This book might be better than 3 stars but I cannot stop comparing quality to her more recent Cleopatra's Daughter.

I love this book--keep your 1984, your Brave New World, and your Harrison Bergeron... I say Lois Lowery Rules!
