Won't say much about this book, except, in the Dark Tower series, it was my favorite.

Cute tradebook for use in kindergarten and first grade about conquering the fear of the dark...after all, every one is afraid of something!

I've tried, but I just don't like Gabriel Garcia Marquez
not as good as some of the other ones. a little depressing because of the scenery that they are in and what the marsh wiggle is always saying but it ends well. yay.
following hard on the heels of Andy Andrews' bestseller, *The Butterfly Effect*, we find reinforcement in Max Lucado's newest, *Outlive Your Life*. evidence discovered immediately in the subtitle *You Were Made to Make a Difference*. with the current baby boomer population arriving at a point in life where they've begun to question their own legacy, this book will be sure to capture attention. it will also challenge on those very concerns. what are we leaving for our legacy? is it all about us? or have we a responsibility to our neighbour - whether next door or next country? Lucado brings it home to the reader. our own individual world is too small. we are called to God's world as participant not bystander. to mission not comfort. to life that is legacy. an incarnational life that serves the weak with welcome. extends hospitality beyond our doors. and when we do? we'll have served Christ Himself.

I like such calm story. It's like meditation to read. I like it very much.

A collection of short stories...mostly sort of heart wrenching but in a way that seems to have a point.

An incredibly powerful memoir about the author's sense of complicity in growing up in a race-torn society, and how she came to terms with it. Fuller avoids temptations to romanticize her African childhood but nevertheless manages to provide a colorful portrait of the place and people from the unusual perspective of one torn between her supremacist family and her sense of what's right. You come away feeling a measure of sympathy for the humanity of all the characters, regardless of their moral positions. She was very brave to write so honestly about such a personally sensitive subject.
pacing and interest still high, especially narration on Tak's nonchalant driving skills through the 5 hairpin turns (he's that damn good :P) think about getting volumes in sets of two in the future as the next challenge is always in the following book, a sly tactic to get you to keep reading/buying...

I loved this book. I couldn't out it down. I had to know what was going to happen to this little girl, stolen from her peasant family in Ecuador. What she goes through will break your heart - but her big dreams will inspire and amaze. I loved her courage and sense of self worth. This true story is absolutely incredible. Loved it!
