Beautifully written novel about love and redemption. I didn't want it to end.
Silva is one of the best at the international thriller, and this one lives up to his reputation. Definitely won out over housework as a way to pass the time! Had a hard time putting it down.

Good historical / religous mystery which is loosely based on facts. I really enjoyed it.

A different kind of Clements book. I would like to read the next one. Did not expect the cliff hanger ending. Lots going on in the story, maybe too much.

Catherine McLeod works for The Journal in Denver. She is covering a story about the Arapaho and Cheyenne tribes filing to reclaim their 27 million acres of land. Someone doesn't want her to know the details of this deal because she becomes the target of an assassin. She has narrowly escaped his attacks as she continues to uncover many secrets about a conspiracy that leads way back into the past and the founding of Denver itself. She also learns about her own heritage. My Thoughts: I enjoyed this book very much not only for the current mystery but the immense amount of Native American history contained in this story. At times it was a little hard to follow, but after reading this book I did a little research into the treaty and it can be very hard to understand on its own. Coel's ability to wrap a entire story around it is masterful. The author is a historian and said to be an expert in the Arapaho Indians and it shines through clearly in her work. I am sure that is why her other series is so successful as well.

Mark has to make money so his older brother can got to college, but it‘s the summer of 1925 in Harlem and there‘s lots for Mark to do. He gets a job with "The Crisis" magazine put out by the NAACP, for “New Negroes,” he is told. He helps Fats Waller, who is helping Dutch Schultz unload some illegal liquor, which leads to all sorts of problems. By the time fall comes, Mark‘s brother has gone off to college, Mark is back in high school, hoping to play music with Fats Waller and sworn off a life in crime. This slight novel is full of brief Harlem Renaissance portraits of luminaries and hoods. I can onlt wish that Myers will write another of these books for an older audience with more complex and detailed pictures of Harlem and the people who live there at this time and place.

This book was a pleasant surprise because it was realistic fiction set in Montana concerning a teen girl who falls for a boy who shares her concern for the wolves that have been reintroduced into Yellowstone. This was a bit on the long side but I liked it.

I enjoyed John Adams, it was a wonderful look at a man who history has so misunderstood. The main thing I got out of this book was something one of my professors use to say all the time. "The only thing we learn from history is that we don't learn anything from history." If anyone ever says... Our Founding Fathers would roll in their graves if they could see what was going on today, it only means they do not know anything about our Founding Fathers! Oh yeah! and compared to the media at that time... FOX new is a fair and well balanced news source. LOL!
I really enjoyed this book. I thought the plot was great and it was a fun, easy read. It was written to a younger audience hence the 4 star review.
