The best book I have read so far about relationships. Its a great framework to learn to understand how you can make your partner feel more loved. A MUST read for everyone.

read it a very long time ago but remember that it is exciting and dark. Have to read more of his books, I remember now...
So this is really 3.5 Stars...I liked this book, but missed the deep intense connection from this couple as compared to Lassen and Rohyr in book one. To be fair, I expected this to be a tough read in terms of the how the relationship between Riodan and Dylen would develop. I knew Riodan would irritate me and possibly anger me...And he did. But honestly I could see where he was coming from and understood (in spite of disliking his actions) why he did what he did. I think he redeemed himself in the end, and I was happy to see them get their happiness. I still love this ALL MALE world, the language, the lore and the whole thing, so looking forward to #3...This book also reminded me that I really need to read a book before I dismiss it, or decide I won't like it. Art in any form is so subjective, so I have to do the actual reading before I form an opinion :O) I recommend, especially if you A. Read the first one or B. Like fantasy and some smexy man loving.

I really did not enjoy this book at all. In fact this is one of my least favorite books, ever.
Fun to read on vacation

I like Jane Graves other books so I was prepared to like this one. I liked Bernie but felt Jeremy was very much a "central casting" hero. He could have fit in a period book just as easily. Maybe our author was wanting to use people and places known to her readers for continuity but I think having Bernie live in the complex from Hot wheels & High heels wasn't believable. Interesting to think about how a control freak & a strong minded person would adapt from a business to personal relationship.

I gave this Fielding book a lower rating than I normally do for her books. The reason I've done that is because I found this one to be a little slow in getting going. I just knew if I kept reading it would get better and it did indeed, turned out to be an enjoyable read. From the back cover: "At first, Jill Plumley thought it was a flattering, if tasteless joke, when the sexy young attorney introduced herself and whispered, "I'm going to marry your husband." Then David Plumley began spending late nights and weekends at the office, and Jill realized it was no joke. She recognized the scenario only too well. After all, she herself had lured David away from his first wife. She too had been "the other woman."

If you eat food, you should read this. Chock full of things that make you go hmm. A little less long winded and it would have gotten five stars.

Kazuo Ishiguro recommended Cloud Atlas when I heard him speak in 2005. This book was incredible; I haven’t read anything quite like it. Really six stories wrapped into one, the switch from one to another and back again is really intriguing. Some transitions were hard for me, but I ended up enjoying all six parts. I hope to read more Mitchell in the future.
this was the 1st selection for the boston u of c young alumni book club. the writing is well-developed and interesting - ishiguro is obviously talented - but the story is almost painfully sad.
