04/13/07 from deepthoughtsbyjackhandey.com: I think a good movie would be about a guy who's a brain scientist, but he gets hit on the head and it damages the part of the brain that makes you want to study the brain.

Great common sense philosophy on making baby happy (& mom and dad happy). When you are sleep deprived, frustrated, and can't hear yourself think over the crying, it's good to get some common sense reminders. LOVE the missing 4th trimester theory. All the suggestions totally make sense. The shushing and rocking tricks worked best for me with getting my baby to sleep...now if only I could get him to sleep longer.

This was a really cute story/cook book. Being a foodie and a big fan of Food Network, I was excited to read about her interactions with other food critics, especially the hilarious Jeffery Steingarten! Some of the recipes seemed a little out of my league, but they sounded delicious. I loved how the author introduced each of the dishes with the storyline...it made the food seem that much more appealing! They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but her prose really got my mouth watering!

It's book that you enjoy reading while reading it, but the details get lost easily, hence not much is retained after awhile.

Entertaining, funny, and at times, useful, especially if you need to know the speed of farts, and how to ignite them. And now I can drink beer and liquor in any order and not have to remember if I'm "never sicker" or "in the clear". How awesome is that?
Much, much, much better than Fang!

This is a great collection of short stories, but not for the Prozac crowd. Good characters in often untenable situations deal with loss, alienation, betrayal, and despair. From a bizarre horror story set in France in the Middle Ages, to a GI on Guadalcanal, to three Polish mountaineers climbing in the Himilayas, there's something here for misanthropes of all kinds. My first e-book.
Thoughtful, exhaustive but never exhausing hisory of celibacy both forced and chosen. "Sainthood was that era's ( 1350-1500) great challenge, akin to aspiring to the Olympics or a Nobel Prize today. For women severly limed in vocations other than drudging laboror motherhood, the stretch to being the very best practicioner of religion was appealing, expecialy to highly intelligent perfectionists..."

hated it - couldn't get past the period. Hated Rabbit and what he did to women.
