Vui Chơi Cùng Yu Yu - Tập 4: Điều Kỳ Lạ Sau Cơn Mưa Thư viện Sách hướng dẫn

I've read the previous four books in the BDB series but this is the first one I've written a review for. But that's only because I just joined Goodreads yesterday :) I enjoyed the main characters. I thought V and Jane were a good match and I loved that V fell in love with Jane partly because he was able to read her thoughts and loved her mind. I also liked when V was at Jane's apartment and her stacks of books made him realize how alike they were. I'm glad there were fewer instances of the main characters misunderstanding each other than in the previous books because it can be so annoying when that drags out. As for the side characters, I thought Phury was pretty boring in the last four books but I started to understand him more as he became more of a central character. I still find John Matthew boring and I'm really waiting for something to happen because we've been reading about him for several books at this point and the pages devoted to him don't add much to the story. I would much rather read about V and Jane than have to keep reading about how much John misses Tohr and Welsie, how much he longs for the change, etc. The Scribe Virgins behavior is just getting old. She is completely unreasonable and I feel she should be more consistent since she is, after-all, a deity. I am SO glad Ward stopped using the lessers as narrators because they are terribly boring. I only hope she didn't pick it back up again in book 6. As much as I've gotten used to the thuggish language, I was annoyed that both Jane and Manello started talking that way as well. Maybe it's ok for Jane since V could have rubbed off on her but Manello had NO contact with the brothers so it made no sense for him to start saying things like "Couch it" or "I'm gonna food up" towards the middle/end of the the book when he didn't talk that way at the beginning. I think the ending wasn't 100% perfect for the characters and felt it was bittersweet. As much as it didn't sit well with us, the readers, I don't feel it mattered much to V and Jane because they were glad to have what they did as opposed to having nothing at all. When Jane is introduced as a human, it's clear that something unexpected will have to happen in order for V and Jane's relationship to work. The same way Ward found a way to allow Rhage and Mary and Butch and Marissa to be together. This pattern really annoyed me at first but I've realized that to enjoy this series, I just have to accept that Ward is going to keep finding ways out of the blue for the human/vampire relationships to work. In fact, I have to accept a lot of things about these books because I want to keep reading them, no matter how much some things bother me. That is just my take but I do understand the frustration I've read in other reviews.
