This books is an accessible look at the philosophy and history behind Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) without getting too complex and detailed. However, do not stop with this one. Use this book to get the general ideas down, and then move on to The Web That Has No Weaver or any TCM textbook.

Considering the plot line of this book, it's very eerie that it was actually written before September 11, 2001. Though some of it was a bit racy, it was a nice read overall. Gets only three stars from me because I don't fully remember all the details to warrant giving it a higher score.

I thought this was a well researched and thoughtfully laid out study on biblical eldership. I may not have agreed with the author on every point but I do see the value in what he had to say. The line between literal and contextual understanding of scripture is a difficult one to define, and the author succeeds were many have failed.
Oh my - this is the most boring biography I have ever read (I may not be able to finish it). Takes quite a talent to turn such a fascinating life into a boring jumble of tidbits. Update: Finally gave up - I just cannot read anymore of it - may try again (in a year or so)......

Great Book! The story is told from three points of view: a white women, recently graduated from college and 2 maids, in Jackson, Mississippi circa 1962. The white women, "Skeeter", wants to be a writer and decides to write a story from the local black maids' point of view. She is very naive about race relations but gets an education from the 2 black maids, Abileen and Minny. She is a very different person by the end of the book. This book was hard to put down but you don't want it to end.
What an eye opener! Very timely in light of our current political situation. Thugs taking over, loss of civil rights and all that.
Um...yeah. So I just gave it three stars because I liked it, but REALLY liked it would be like putting it up there with the classics and stuff. So, yeah. I got this book from mom (I believe) back when I was staying at the hotel. I never really looked at it. Maybe because it was too painful with my two cats dying and all... The book was pretty hilarious though. :) Ugh. What a lame review. Sorry.

Probably one of the best books I've ever read! (possibly one of the only too!)
