WARNING: THIS IS A NEGATIVE REVIEW, SO IF YOU LIKE THIS BOOK, DON'T READ IT. PEOPLE ARE ALLOWED TO SAY THEIR OWN OPINIONS ON EVERYTHING AND REVIEWS ARE DONE FOR THIS. I feel I ought to say that I'm not trashing Lauren Kate's books, but there are times when I just feel I ought to give my opinion on something like this. First of all, I officially join the "LUCE IS DUMB" club and I'm not in the least surprised how many members there are. (This is just a metaphor, people, there is no such club. That I know of.) I tried, I REALLY REALLY tried to see what made Daniel love her, but there was no good quality about her. Honestly, this is something rare for me. Usually, if I don't like a heroine, there is always even one thing that I may admire or like about her. In Luce's case, there were none. She was stupid, a stalker and a lunatic. Yes, Daniel did act fatherly sometimes, but he did it all to protect her sorry ass. It was wrong of him to try and stuff her in a box, so no one will take her away from him again, but she ought to understand him - he's lost her so many times that the thought of it makes him sick to his stomach. She spent those three books (Fallen, Torment and Passion) either feeling sorry for herself or panting after Daniel. If I have to hear one more time how gorgeous he is, I'm going to commit suicide. Really. The only thing I could understand from those books, and especially from the third, was Daniel's agony and how big his love for Luce was. He loved her, beats me why, but he did. And every time he lost her it felt like his heart was ripped out and he was slapped across the face with it. He was pretty, yes, but not enough so that his beauty has to be described on every page of the damn books. And I really think that Daniel should have thought a little more before rebelling against the Almighty as he did. Seriously, all right, man, we get it - love is such a beautiful thing and blah blah blah but the planet does not deserve to be ruled by Lucifer(who is portrayed like an idiot in Passion) just so you can smooch Luce a couple of times and get laid. Now that I mentioned Lucifer and his idiotic behavior in Passion, it made me laugh. I think that his best version was that in Supernatural, but, mind you, I never expected Lauren Kate to make him such an idiot. I didn't expect that she'll include him in her books at all. I doubt that Lucifer cares if Sally meets Harry (in this case, Luce meets Daniel), but apparently, in your opinion, Mrs. Kate, he does. And also Luce was stupid to trust him. So what, she's stupid enough to trust an ugly gargoyle in some thing called "Announcer", but she wasn't smart enough to trust Daniel, who loved her since he saw her, and the other angels? "At last," he breathed into her, finding her lips. "You found me," she whispered. "Always." You know, if Luce was playing some kind of a sick hide-and-seek game with Daniel and she hid through centuries and other countries and all that, then I am so over this series. For real. I am going to read the last book, just because I want to know what kind of a dumb plan they are going to come up with to defeat the Big Bad Evil. I won't be surprised if the next time Lucifer (he should be called Lucy in those books, because he's just that girly) comes around he'll be wearing a dress or something equally stupid. I still can't get it in my head how Lauren Kate could make Lucifer sound so stupid, but obviously she is almighty in that section. The only characters I liked in those series were Cam and Roland. Roland was cool and chilly, he wasn't some kind of a hyper idiot like Arriane, even though I admit that I would like to see more development in their relationship, because it seems they have a thing for each other. (Or that's just me, trying to find an excuse to read the last book.) Cam was the only character that was fresh and interesting in the books and I liked his background and how he became the evil incarnate he is. I enjoyed the way he talked and even when he was just standing, he was the coolest character in the books. I find Luce stupid for not thanking him for saving her so-not-for-saving life in the second book. Honestly, I think she would have been better off dead, but then there would be no story to tell, huh?

Đại Cương Lịch Sử Văn Hóa Việt Nam - Tập 3 Thư viện Sách hướng dẫn

A warning before you start this book: You won't be able to put it down! I made the mistake of starting it before I went to bed and ended up staying awake all night just to finish it. I've always loved dragons and this series only makes me love them more! Vanish picks up right where Firelight left off — the gap isn't even a day! — with Jacinda and her family going back to the pride. The plot is so fast-paced and full of twists that I stayed on the edge of my seat, and there are a bunch of revelations that made my jaw drop. I honestly adore Jacinda! I've read so many reviews that say she's indecisive and angsty, but I think that her flaws and actions make her feel so much more real and easy to relate to. And I swear, this romance will be the end of me one day. I LOVED the (non) draki-hunter Will to the moon and beyond, but even I have to admit that Cassian had his moments! ♥ With a fast-paced plot, a quick writing style, and tons of surprises, Vanish is definitely a one-sit read! If you haven't started this series yet, then I definitely recommend that you do because this is a cool series you don't want to miss! :) BUY or BORROW?: Am I the only one who is IN LOVE with these covers, scales and all?? I think this series is worth being purchased (and not just for the pretty covers)! (Original review at Mimi Valentine's YA Review Blog)
