It's slow. Really slow. But Thankfully I was in the mood for slow- and enjoyed the read. The big "reveal" at the end is actually pretty good- a nice twist to finalize the plot.
LOVED this book! It was an easy read--I read the first half on a plane and the second half on the way home on the plane. The characters were so easy to follow, everything seemed to fall into place so easily. I love it when books about magic don't make it all about the magic, and when they don't make a huge deal about there being magic, like it's more a fact than a surprise. I think I would read this again, just to enjoy the characters for a little longer.
Amandina is a talented pup with a desire to put on a show for her town. She does everything herself, from fixing up the old theater to making costumes- but on opening night no one shows up. In a terrific show of spirit, she performs her play anyway. Text is simple enough for story time, but the watercolor illustrations are small.

What's not to love about our friends from Botswana?! I had found the last couple a little tiresome, so took a break, and haven't read any for a while, great idea, as reading this one felt like reacquainting myself with old friends! To be sure, there's not masses of substance, but with characters like Precious and Mr JLB Matekoni to keep you company, does it really matter?!
Embarrassing, I know...I read Danielle Steel:) This story is the same as all the other ones...it's a brainless escape.

I never knew life for black loyalists in Nova Scotia was so bad that they braved the voyage back to Africa to start another colony. Incredible story telling, gripping book about a terrible injustice, and the persistence of the human spirit.
Didn't like it as well as the "Sex Lives," but it's still hilarious and even a little bit informative at times.
She began to suspect the chemicals in the fertilizer, and she observed the local company that sold fertilizers to the farmers. They got the chemicals from industries that needed to dispose of their toxic waste and saved a lot of money--enormous sums--by selling it to fertilizer companies. It was very expensive to put the wastes in disposal sites. Because of EPA regulatory loopholes, fertilizer companies could process it into granular form, blend it with dirt and sell it to unsuspecting farmers. And it was perfectly legal! Eh. It's an interesting lens through which to see the state of modern Iran, but perhaps not the most elucidating.

Why could I not put this book down? Answer: Because it was good. Duh. Josh was my favorite.
Muhteşem.

Başlangıç ve yolcuların kaçırılmasına yol açan parçalar ekledi, ancak sonunda arzulanan bir çok şey yaptı. Genel olarak ilginç bir okuma.
