One of my all time favorites and one of a very few I've read more than once.

Technically this is a book for "young adults." But don't let that stop you from reading this masterpiece. It tells the story of a young girl in Nazi Germany and is narrated by Death. Of all the books that I have read, only a handful have made me cry. This is one of those books.

It was pretty damn depressing! I didn't really see a point to the story, but it certainly kept me engaged. I kept wanting to read just to find out if there was a point.

brooks doesnt just "make the ordinary extraordinary" - she demonstrates the beauty of the every-day, as well as the humor. and sometimes the ugliness.

This was a book that you just want to keep reading. It was hard to put down, because you never knew what was going to happen next. A different side of Nicholas Sparks.

I was really reluctant to read this book and I don't even know why. I found myself skipping over it in my book drawer. I finally listened to Tabatha and picked it up and to my surprise I couldn't put it down. There isn't one iota of this story that isn't luring you into the next chapter. The mystery, the sex, the characters, and the great unknown of what was awaiting you. This was my first book having to do with shifters as well as my first Jennifer Ashley book. I am so excited to find another amazing author whom I REALLY enjoy reading. Not too mention the perk of having the next book in the series to be released in days. To any skeptic out there who too keeps skipping over reading this...QUIT...just read you wont be disappointed.

If you have ever seen the television show "Frontline," this is like "Frontline" in print. . .very educational. A really good companion piece, or maybe prologue book, to Bob Woodward's State of Denial.

I liked the way the characters in this book are developed--all members of a family--each with a "condition" that makes it difficult to lead life as they would like. It kept my interest and made me think about how our family and our familial relationships in youth affect our adulthood.

The first Chistopher Moore that I read and the one that got me hooked on the author.

Boy, did I like this book! This morning I was at page 190 and I spent the entire day reading. I didn't want it to end! It's full of exitement, (my hands were literally sweating when Elder woke up and found those Xs on the doors) love, (would you just kiss her already!?) the feeling of being locked in a cage (one time I actually opened my window just to check if the fresh air was still there)and all the while there was this big mystery going on. Who is the killer? Who is this "other one" everybody's talking about? Who is Elders father? Why are all the creative people on mental meds? All these damn questions and I felt like I, as the reader, would do anything to get a clue to any of them. There was a small lack of romance in this book though. I mean the love was always there, within their grasp, but then some frexing alarm would go off or Amy would start to think of her old boyfriend, Jason, or Eldest would send out an all-call to everyone on the ship. I know some people thought that Elder's obsessive-ness over Amy was too much, but I thought it was really sweet (I mean c'mon, he's never seen enyone with different eye-, hair- or skincolor than him. Also he's never met anyone his age before). Sometimes I even got a little bit mad at Amy for not noticing. Harley. Harley. What to say about Harley? He was definetly one of my favorite characters in the entire book, but I wish we'd get to know more of his past. I loved how he called Amy 'little fish', and he would always support Amy when everybody else (exept Elder) turned their backs on her. PLEASE GIVE ME "A million suns" NOW!!! Grr, argh! (Buffy reference? anyone? no?)
Yo recomiendo.
