This book is from Rachel's perspective. She falls in love with her bestfriend, Darcy's fiance and they have an affair. She tells her side of the story of how they fell in love and how they would do anything to be together. She shows sorrow and simpathy for her bestfriend, but yet she chooses to follow her heart, after she hears that Darcy and Dex broke up. I really enjoyed this book because Rachel has conflicting views on the subject and doesn't know what to do about the situation. It's a good story and is developed well. You can clearly see the change in the protagonist and the story concept is well developed. I recommend this book to all teenage girls who want a good, quick read.

I could not put this book down! This is a story about a plantation, the family who lives there and their slaves. It can be depressing at times but you grow to love and loathe the characters. I found myself unable to put it down just dying to know what would happen next. It's also refreshing to find an author who can talk about horrible acts without having to describe them in detail.

Check out more reviews at Books to the Sky. There was so much mystery in this book, I seriously couldn't put it down. I HAD to know what was going on in this story and it kept me glued to the book. Amelia has no idea who she is. All she knows is that she's dead and she hasn't seen another dead person in a long time. As the story goes on more and more of the mystery surrounding Amelia comes to the surface. Josh seems to be the one triggering Amelia's memories, or at least helping her start to uncover them. I don't want to give away too much of the book, because I want people to read it. But I will say this, my heart hurt for Amelia and I was angry at the fate she was handed. This is the first book in a series (from what I can see on Goodreads there will be 3) and I will most definitely be reading the rest of the series to find out what happens.
