Awesome dual language version. Heaney is an excellent poet, and his skill really comes through. My favorite translation of Beowulf, especially as I enjoy seeing the Old English side by side with the translation.

This book is a great commentary on leadership and responsibility. I think it's also one of the only coming-of-age stories I've ever really enjoyed. I also love the humorous dramatic irony in it. I think it's a very witty book as well.

And to think I've waited this long to read this charming book! I did not see the first movie, but seeing the most recent one inspired me to read this gem. Loved the dialogue and the action. Portis could, but does not, sugar coat his story or characters.

There were some parts in this book where I got a little bored, but the exciting parts definitely made up for it. I'm excited to read the final book in the series, because this one leaves you hanging big time at the end. I was really shocked by one thing in the book, which made it even better.

This book was recommended to a team when I was working in business, and frankly I just have to say I think there are better books out there. I can't say this was bad, and for some people I think it really could be a great motivator. I've just read other books of this nature that held greater appeal for me personally.

While I love Terry Pratchett I couldn't really get into this book. The main characters of Vincent and Ginger seemed too one dimensional, but I did love the Wizards and Gaspode. My main problem was that it was referencing our world TOO much. In the other discworld books there is a nice mirror effect that is usually understated, but here I felt like I was being hit over the head with a stick with the obviousness of it all. Though as someone who studied film history he does get good details!
