this book is very different than the first to and for the bulk of it you are wondering how it connects. honestly, i read it because i wanted to finish the series but it isn't nearly as good as the first two.

this book and northeastern liberal arts colleges are the same: they both tell you how rough poor people have it and how you should feel bad for them. but what they don't tell you is that poor people are usually ugly and annoying. they are boring, so is this book, so i say don't worry about either one.

I wrote a review of this book for [http://www.junioandkatie.com] a couple of years ago along with a couple of other silent comics (comics pretty much without words) but I never posted it. Considder this your notice. find and read all the Owly books. By the way Andy Runton has been at the Top Shelf booth of the MOCCA Festival:[http://www.moccany.org/artfest-main.html] for the past two years, you should bring your copy there and have him sign it
I liked this. They were all new main characters for this book. It also had a feel to it, like she might have written in before her trilogy. It explain in detail some of the little things that were just there that happened before.
Autobiographical young adult novel by a Spokane/Coeur d'Alene Indian who's an award-winning poet, playwright, and novelist. "Part-time" refers to the fact that he chose to attend an all-white high school so he could get a better education. Un-self-pitying story of growing up poor, among alcoholics, with substantial physical disabilities, and as the target of bullies. But our hero also becomes a whiz kid and a star basketball player, and he comments repeatedly about the support he finds in his tight-knit Indian community. Doesn't hurt that this book is hilariously funny in many places.

This book was very good. The plot falls together very well and it ends up with a great twist. The story says that if you take a bad kid and make him dig holes everyday than they will become good kids. This is not true, making somebody do something they don't want to do will not help the situation. The main character Stanley Yelnats got in trouble for stealing sneakers and that is the reason he is sent to this camp. Throughout the book you find out the only reason the camp warden has these kids dig holes is because there is a secret treasure on the land they stay. My favorite thing about this book is the way it shows the history of Stanley and his bestfriend Zero. There is a feud with there families that goes back to their great great grandparents that they don't know about untill the end. I think this is great and it shows that you should'nt let people tell you what to do and who to let into your life. All in all this is one of my favorites. Go out and read it people !
