This was my second book of Robins to read and I have to say that she is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. In this title, Robin has masterfully woven romance, faith, current events, and mystery all into one. The romance part of the book is innocent and clean which I appreciated. Robin drops clues throughout the story and I found the mystery side of the story exciting and intriguing right up to the very end. The emotions and heart of the characters displayed on these pages are deep which makes it easy to connect with them. Robin had my attention from the start of this one and kept it until the very end. I was in fact disappointed that the book did come to an end as I was enjoying it so much. A wonderful read that I highly recommend.

This book of short stories has six older and three new stories by Bruce Coville. From light fantasy to more thought-provoking themes, this has something for everyone. Most are fun to read and there are a few surprises. The short stories range from shivery horror (Theres Nothing under the Bed) to “tongue-in-cheek”humor (The Giants Tooth) to a fractured fairy tale (The Stinky Princess). “Am I Blue?” creates a funny solution to homophobia, a boy meets his inner demon in “The Japanese Mirror”, and interplanetary relations are explored from a kids-eye view in “I, Earthling”. Although, one of my favorites is “Biscuits of Glory”. Just the name is so, so, light and fluffy. I think that this book has so many different kinds of stories so it can really connect with the reader. I, personally really liked “Biscuits of Glory” and I could connect with it because the ghost had my luck and acted like I would when she was alive. I also, sort of, reverse connected with “Theres Nothing under the Bed” because my parents would always say that (connection) and because my bed spits things up, not sucks them in (reverse connection). Therefore I think Bruce Coville was trying to, and succeeded at, making text-to-self connections. I gave this book four stars. I chose this rating because it was an interesting read, even the stories I didn't like very much had good points in them. The messages the stories had in them were interesting and original. I would recommend this book to almost any good reader.

I added the shelf Early Retirement for the books I just couldn't quite finish. The writing is good, the story is moderately interesting, but after about 150 pages I started skimming, then I found myself jumping huge sections, finally read the end and returned the book to the library. It's an interesting account of the 80s S&L scandals in novel format...if you're interested in reading about S&L scandals in a novel format.

I really liked this book! I will say that it took me 3 tries to read it because it was so confusing in the beginning. The dates and time traveling made me not want to keep on reading, but after the 2nd time, I just read through it and got the hang of it. I enjoyed it very much, and I'm glad I kept on reading. I liked it better than the move.

-I decided to read this book because I watched the movie and I absolutely loved it!!! -The category on the bingo board that this book completes is a book written by a male. -What I liked about this book was the general excitement e.g. a part where Lucy, Susan and Peter are trying to find Edmund and some wolves come up and start chasing them. I also liked the way that Aslan didn't stay dead, instead he came back to life and helped the children fight against the evil witch. -What I didn't like about this book was the fighting scenes where people got killed or injured (I don't like it when bad things happen in books). -I would recommend this book to people from age 5 to age 100 because it is a book that the whole family will enjoy. Children under the age of 5 might not understand some of the parts in the book. Also, the book is easy to comprehend.

Nice quick read. Has a similar style to Wake trilogy, but story is a bit darker. Loved Nico. Didn't love Jacian but worked out in the end alright.
