After Bridget Jones, I searched high and lo throughout the entire genre (lighthearted fluff about British twenty/thirty-somethings looking for love in the big city) for something as funny. Nothing is, to my knowledge, but this is worth reading if you like that sort of thing.

Had to read this after so many recommended it. Really enjoyed this one, and as long as you paid attention to the date and ages at the beginning of each "day" I had no problem following along, as others have warned me. Great combination of time travel but "real" story. And I love that the author thanked the workers of the real library where Henry "worked", or else her main character would've worked at Starbucks.

Mhmm, enjoyable! Pity the protagonist is a bit of a bore though. Pamela's so bloody well-mannered and cautious that it made me cringe at times. But anyway, overall the story-telling is smooth and skillful. Harrison has a way of describing things very accurately and precise which makes it easy for the reader to vividly imagine the different situations anc characters.

I read this book because the topic intrigued me. If it weren't for my sincere interest to learn about these events I never would have made it through. The last 70 pages are fantastic. Other than that, I may as well have been reading a text book. I'm glad I know the history, but there has to be an easier way to learn it!

My review will not be the most useful review, and I'm not going to summarize it because that's already available. I loved this book. I finished it in two days, and I want to find the author and give her a big hug. She's already lived my life, and she has shared her lessons learned with those of us who are hard-wired to be intense parents. Any parent of a Suzuki music student will find HUGE value in this memoir. Frankly, I think her lessons can be translated to any activity in which a child competes. Furthermore, I think any adult in Suzuki pedagogy or general Music Education student should read this, to get an idea of the parents of their future students. It's always good to understand more about your students and the potential background from whence they come.

If I could give it a thousand stars, I would. This book - but more specifically the author - makes my life worth living. I highly, highly recommend it.
good but not great. it was entertaining and i would recommend it but nothing stand out about it.

Enjoyable memoir about a woman who had ten children, although it doesn't provide an equal amount of stories about each child, leaving it a little uneven.

This is a very good story of love lost and love recovered, and Reign is a hero to die for (oh, wait - she did). This is a strong 4.5* read and would have been a 5* if not for the use of the 'f' word for making love. I have accepted the use of that word to show strong anger, frustration, etc., and in some cases it's very appropriate (in battle, e.g.), but being 'f'-ed is just not loving and romantic to me. I just wish authors would resist this push to be so graphic.
