A good book, but its use by different political powers in government render it a useless piece of propaganda in modern times.

Not my favorite book. The author himself believes that what he's writing about is true, and who knows? There are some thought-provoking theories about humankind's past/genetic history. But the aliens-among-us stuff was a bit more than I really enjoy.

This was typical Joyce Carol Oates -- glorification of victimhood. She's a good writer, interesting characters, but what she makes them do...is trite and prurient. I got stuck reading it because I was on an airplane and this was the only book I had, taken at the last minute from my mother-in-laws pile of unread books.

I knew a little of Thomas Beatie's story from the crazy media storm that surrounded him when he was pregnant, but it was good to read about his life from his own point of view. He and his wife are obviously madly, insanely in love with each other and with their little daughter, plus they both had extremely difficult lives before finding each other. What a happy ending, and what a blessed little girl to have parents like them.
Knew many of these people from my days of selling legal research in Savannah.

I am so glad this book is in chronological order!! Drives me crazy when bios jump back and forth. I thought this was a very interesting and heart felt life (so far) story. Much better than other biographies I've read. I only wish I had gotten the audiobook so I could hear the story in Jane Lynch's own voice.

"The Spy Who Loved Me" was a decent novel. It was a far cry from Fleming's best, but it certainly wasn't his worst. I didn't particularly care for the perspective of the novel; I would have preferred the novel much more had it been told from Bond's perspective instead of Viv's. Also, the plot itself was a little lacking. An insurance scam at an out-of-the-way motel just didn't seem to be on par with James Bond's typical fare. In the end, it was worth the read, and I'll probably revisit it again in the future.

I wasn't expecting a book about male gymnasts to be this thought provoking.

Oliver Stone is a reclusive hero who works with a band of misfits solving complex situations crimes. A very smooth and elaborate plot which keeps me interested and a I am a long time fan of David's i have all of his books.
Won this as a giveaway! I was looking for a lighter, easy read and this was just that. It was very "Hollywood" as you might assume. Romance, drama and just the right amount of predictability. All about making choices and how they not only affect your own life but the lives of others around you.
