This is a cute little novel. Well written, the used of 3rd person POV complimented the story nicely. I liked reading about all the different types of powers the kids had, because they weren't the usual stuff like super strength. I mean, sure *flying.* And I'd never encountered a motive like the school's. I wont mention what it is, because I don't want to spoil it, but it IS really good. Worth the read, it's short and quick.

full of emotion, definitely a beautifuf book. I liked to learn more about Afghanistan and Talibans. The author has a very neat style and makes you feel Kabul's atmosphere as if you were there. Sad but lovely.

I'm having a really hard time calling this "historical fiction." This book is long on fiction and pretty short on history. Historical smut is a better description.

Way too sad for me to give five stars! I don't think I would read it again because I was too depressed afterwards. I suppose I should credit the devastation I felt and the new feminist views I have to the SUPERB writing. Not completely unpredictable, though. Awesome book again, Hosseini.

I am currently reading this book, and I joined this site just because I was looking to read other people's reviews on this. Thank goodness I am not the only one ready to throttle Haven. I am 76% in (I am reading it on my eReader)and so far all I got from it was Haven is willing to follow whoever is willing to lead her down the path. She follows the dull heroine stereotype to a T, but good grief, even Bella in all her annoying ways knew what she wanted and stuck to it. Killer or no killer. I'm at the point I couldn't care less if Iain killed someone or not, grow a pair Haven and get on with it! Finished reading this, thankfully. Definitely not my favorite book. I was extremely annoyed with the characters.

This book had everything I wanted and more! I loved the slow pacing of Hawke & Sienna's relationship. The 2ndy relationship storyline with walker and Lara was just as good. The story arc for the series continues, too. I want more!
