I am really afraid that this series is getting to have FAR too many loose ends. I enjoyed this one, however, there is a definate incongruency between each of the first three. I think each of the different authors has an idea on where the story should go, but they haven't really discussed it with each other. On that note, my eleven year old son does not agree and loved it!

It is a delight to have ventured out into Narnia & experience all the adventures the Prevensies have had. It was fun to keep comparing what is actually written in the book, to wwhat they did in the movie. And I'm happy that the movie didn't deviate much from the book, although I must say, that I enjoyed the book more than the movie.

Luc - the dashing ex is now a multimillionaire and he has his eyes set on making things right with Katie. This book is a sweet story of facing past mistakes and humiliation and learning what forgiveness and love are. It is about learning not to be defined by the things that happen in our lives but defining our lives by those beliefs we hold dear - operating in Christ. The only thing that bothered me - and this may seem silly - is the cover. I could not stand the fact that in the book Katie is a red-haired, green-eyed irish girl yet the book cover shows a brunette dark-eyed lady. Thank you B&B Communications for this review copy.

** spoiler alert ** This book was a lot of fun. The book is told in a style that implies that the main character, Tony, a middle school student. His mother is Al, an exotic dancer at the Glass Cafe. Al is trying really hard to bring Tony up alone to be a smart and interesting guy. Although Al works as an exotic dancer, she actually has degrees but only does this because it makes a lot of money. Tony gets to do some drawings of the other dancers, as figure studies. There is nothing sexual or dirty going on, but when the drawings go one exhibit, someone makes a complaint and the social working handling the problem handles it poorly and much drama ensues. The book is funny and provides a lot to think about regarding looking past the obvious such as peoples jobs and how they look, to see what is really there.

There have been plenty of authors who have contributed to the Loft Literary Center over the years and Daniel Slager presents the collected wisdom of it in Views From The Loft. This anthology for writers is a pretty wild mix of interviews, articles, and essays (or shall I say musings) by a wide array of authors. While the subtitle of the book, A Portable Writer's Workshop, suggests that the book provides actual tips on writing, publishing, critique, etc. it only does so to a certain extent. I felt that it gives more insight into individual writer's minds than being a how-to manual. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but those who are just taking their first baby steps as writers will probably not be able to gain that much from reading the book. Personally I enjoyed most of the book, though the diversity of the content is also a drawback. I realize that the Loft's mission has always been to reach readers and writers who care about the written word in all its possibilities, thus featuring a very broad spectrum of pieces. I would have preferred smaller volumes focusing, for example, solely on poetry, compared to the vast collection at hand. All in all I found essays that were outstanding as well as interviews that bordered on boring, but this is something you always have to live with in anthologies, as personal tastes naturally differ. In short: A worthwhile dip into the creative minds of authors!

One Piece (Tái Bản 2014) - Tập 5 Thư viện Sách hướng dẫn

I liked this book. At first I really wasn't fond of it because it was through the eyes of a guy. It was like "typical dude can't stand a girl if she's not a skinny skank." But as it went on it was like a modern "beauty and the beast." Thats how I would describe it. I loved Kendra (the witch)and how they placed her in the story to play different people.(Some of which that I didn't expect her to be). I'm looking forward to seeing the movie now, I would like to see how they 'Try' to make it like the book. Once I see the movie I'll add a review of that on here.. TO BE CONTINUED...
