I just remember the character played by Segal's son Robby Benson telling the coach to shove a list up his arse with a red hot poker.

Some people seem to have been disappointed by this followup, and sure, debuts are always a little more exciting than keeping up with some of the same characters, but I think Lauren Willig did a fantastic job of expanding on the Pink Carnation, while achieving a different focus and making this one just as exciting and hard to put down.

I was bored by the middle if the book and had to force myself to finish it. The storyline was good, but I thought the interactions between Matthew and Diana were corny...
This book does what "Black Like Me" did. Author, Mike Yankoski heads for the streets and lives like a homeless person for five months in five major American cities.
Water, water everywhere and not a drop of it to drink...or in this case, to irrigate the American West. This book painstakingly chronicles the stories and political hoo-ha behind the major water projects that opened up the American West. The most fascinating story was about the watering of Los Angeles, but from there, the book gets really tedious. It makes me glad I'm moving back to the slightly more sustainable lands of the east coast.
love it.

These short stories are like the book version of the MTV show Skins. A very quick read, without much use of symbolism or subtlety. Maybe James Franco has improved with all his Ivy League creative writing classes, but this book makes me think he should stick to acting.

But Asimov's best and most imaginative works were like this book: as much about the mind bending worlds and realities as about serializing characters. In this book, Asimov systematizes and institutionalizes time travel the same way he institutionalized galactic conquest and robotics in his other series. He also has great and very smart fun tearing the edifice down. You never really know what's going to happen next. And his style makes is so easy to keep going. The pages just fly by. The last line is one of the best in Sci-fi...
