I didn't finish it so maybe it is harsh to rank a 1 but it is letters back and forth between people and it isn't my kind of story. It was picked for book club and I can't finish it. To many books I really, really want to read.

My mom read this to me when I was six. It is still my favorite book.
The movie came on TV a few weeks ago and made me want to listen to the book again. I was just as captivated as the first time I listened to it several years ago. Audio is the way to go with this book. Now I want to watch the movie again!
Not the best written memoir I've read, it actually reads more like a young girl's diary. But that makes sense, seeing as how this person was abducted when she was 11 and never received more than a 5th grade education. Writing style aside, I thought this was a very interesting book about an unthinkable situation. I'm giving it 4 stars only because the story itself is so fascinating. Based on the writing and how it held my attention, I would probably only give it 3 stars. But, like I said, the story is pretty amazing.

I love Janet Evanovich books. The Stephanie Plum character constantly gets into ridiculously funny predicaments.

Wonderful read on the topic. Though, if you're at all familiar with the perils of exhibiting/collecting/preserving/documenting New Media (especially in a museum context) some of the content will be very familiar. Still, just as an example, Jon Ipppolito's chapter "Death by Wall Label" will give you some new and provocative insight. Ippolito proposes a new sense into what the traditional wall label provides, or should provide. This is one of my personal battles, so I was thrilled to read his valid arguments. He manages to get across the necessity to relate to the audience the idea of multiple authors, varying titles/dates/collections, environment installers, variable multiples, etc. I know some of my curator friends would resist such fluid formats, but time and time again, I find myself questioning the traditional wall label for misleading (unintentionally?) the audience. If this is appealing to you in any way, search out this book as you'll find many perspectives of interest to peruse. Also, some great case studies at the end!

This is a wonderful, mostly non-fiction, story of a year in the life of the author's mother. It is easy to step back in time and grow along with the young Christy as she learns about life.
I have never been so engrossed in the life and times of a boil.

Well written. don't usually like zombies but made okay story / read
I think this book was written so kids could absorb this difficult to comprehend topic. The horror of the holocaust would be to much for young readers. It still however has a powerful message and ending that will make kids think.
