A wonderful, wonderful classic. A very British animal adventure, complete with Mole, Ratty, and of course, Mr. Toad. Your life is incomplete if you haven't read it.

I had never read Bram Stoker's Dracula before this, this book inspired me to do that. I loved this book. I couldn't tear my eyes away from the pages. Beautiful writing, intense and charged without being drippy or sacharine.

My favorite suggestion in the book is #42, "Create an Acronym All Your Own". For example, CREW might stand for create - read - exercise - write. Write this in your planner, and underline the letter when you have completed it. This will help you to live a more soulful life, by reminding you to do the things that make you happy.
This was such a sweet little book. I really enjoyed the whole thing from start to finish. Peter was funny, Heidi was charming. Grandfather, Alm-Uncle was mysterious, Clara was delightful and as were the remainder of the characters. I felt that the messages of faith and trust in Gods all knowing power was wonderful. The amiable character in Heidi of being genuine and caring and selfless was wonderful and all in all I thought the book a classic!

I liked the story about Joan Didion-idolizing reporter on assignment communing with South American sloths that soothe humans.

Another of Astrid Lindgren's timelass wonders. If you do not cry in the first chapter, I am not I want to call you human. This is a fantasy story about just about everything in the human soul: brotherhood, love, bravery, kindness, greed, hunger for power, fear... Read it. Now.

I liked Mockingjay MUCH better than Catching Fire. It still wasn't as good as Hunger Games... the series just didn't quite feel like it delivered on the potential of the first book. Still a solid book, however, and I would definitely recommend the series!

I might be "currently reading" this book for a while. It is just really hard to get into. Maybe I need to try again. April 25, 2009: O.k., I give up. I must have missed something with this book. Others seem to like it really well. Maybe I'll try again another time.

Wow, a scarred childhood makes for vindictive adulthood.
