I have been a fan of Ruth Reichl, editor of Gourmet Magazine, for some time, I've enjoyed her writing and considered her opinion of heavy weight in the culinary world. This is her cookbook. It is the latest version of Gourmet Magazine's favorite recipes. Its comprehensive, and full of very good food. The only complaint I've had is that their pancake recipe it terrible. Otherwise, amazing food....all throughout. Ruth knows what she's doing.

Not as in depth as I hoped it would be. The workbook wasn't very helpful or informative. The audio CDs are a bit too New Age for me. I do like the healing cards. They are inspiring.

Kirjassa oli hienoimpia hetkiä aikoihin, siinä oli myös ällöttävin, inhorealistisin ja kiihkein päähenkilön seksikohtaus itsensä kanssa ikinä nuortenkirjassa. Ja sitten kirjassa oli latteita kohtia. Epätasainen, mestariteoksen ja tusinatavaran välillä liikkuva liikuttava lukukokemus ei antanut armoa. Ilman muuta yläkoulun vinkkausreppuun, mutta jotain jäi täydellisyydestä puuttumaan enkä tiedä oliko syynä se, että kirja oli paikoin liian hyvä vai sekö ettei se ollut kaikin paikoin tarpeeksi hyvä. Tätä kirjaa ei kuitenkaan kannata jättää lukematta m issään tapauksessa.

It has been a long time since I read this book but it is one of those reference point works that stays with you forever. I just remember feeling so sorry for Gregor and I think everyone goes through a point in their life when they feel like no one can understand them and like they are different from everyone around them.

I really enjoyed this. It was lots of fun -- a great mix of Jane Austen wit and new zombie violence! I found the zombies to be pretty seamlessly inserted, and the dialog etc is well adapted and pretty true to the source. Amazing how easily zombies can be added! The changes that were made to the original story were well placed, and didn't detract from the essence of the story.
