I enjoyed this very much. It's a rare look inside what makes the Disney theme parks so amazing ---a first hand account of the Imagineering creative process by one of the oldest Disney Imagineers still actually in the business--John Hench. Interesting discussions of design techniques and color theories for creating immersive story worlds.

an excellent read only rated a three because it is a bit dated and because the (very brief) bits that touch on atmospheric chemistry are apparently not quite accurate. on the other hand, if you are 20-25 years behind on your disease lore, this book is perfect for you!
I could keep adding stars, and it would never be enough.

Read this about 4 times in college, and I was thinking about it today (thinking about how much I enjoyed discussing literature at length and writing essays about my crazy interpretations). I enjoyed arguing a thesis about what was actually haunting the house...I believe I argued that it was a forbidden lust or something.
Moby Dick is in my top five favorite books of all time. When I read it in college for my 19th c. American lit class, I fell hard for it, wanted to become a writer because of it, and spent many late nights with it, often finding it between the blankets of my bed in the morning.
I read this back in the 80's. It was the first time I had read Anne Tyler and I fell in love with her style of writing. I am going to have to re-read this since it has been a long time.

I've got to read a Nick Hornby book sometime that hasn't been made into a movie, so I can appreciate his books on their own! The film is one of my favorite.

I believe this guy gets bummed up beyond belief but I barely managed to wade through this. How many times does the guy have to ham-fistedly ram home the point of the book? How many?!
