This book was good, but I think she talked more about how imortant her faith is to her.the middle had no action so I had trouble getting to the end.but the begining is exiting, and it makes up for the lack of action in the middle.when I was finished, it was pretty good.

I think it was good, but definately did not live up to the hype. It's a very quick read but there was little very little development with both the characters and the plot...which did relate to the setting and made the confusion of the characters easier to relate to.

Absolutely amazing book, which I read in one day because I just could not put it down. From his mischievous antics as a child, to his harrowing experience on the ocean after his plane goes down, and concluding with his incredible strength through ruthless POW camps, Louis Zamperini's story is truly one of the best stories I've read. He has the kind of spirit that is indomitable which is endearing regardless of which country he comes from. I also loved that the author was fair minded, and didn't make all Japanese people villainous, nor did she make Hitler one dimensional. The people in this story were just that....people. Some were more kind than others, but each was trying to survive in the total chaos that is war. Wonderful, wonderful read.
