"Want to change your life but don't know how? This short story using mice as an analogy for modern human corporate shmucks, offers a new way to embrace change. Several rules are laid out to guide one away from complacency, complaining about the status quo and taking action to get what you want. If you are stagnating and unhappy in your career, I would read this book first and then read Po Bronson's "What Should I Do With My Life?""

C.G. Jung is one of the most amazing people in the world of psychology, religion, and dreams, in my opinion. A fascinating read into his inner life and world.

This book requires some concentration (and for me, a dictionary). It covers a history of the Sabbath and what different Judeo-Christian sects do when observing the Sabbath. The author also throws in her on personal story of why taking a Sabbath break might be a good idea. I'm convinced! ... but don't have enough will power to implement.
this cover is CREEPY. that said, I had lots of appreciation for this book the second time I read it. Pearl Poet got a lot going on. Think about laughter.

It was a great book. Riodan really changed his style of writing by using third person instead of 1st. It was a good change. In addition to that, he wrote from 3 different perspectives. The book shows other powerful talents that demigods besides the big three can have, such as charmspeak for Aphrodite
Great love story. I shed many tears reading this book.
The book was funny but randomly organized. The "in person" part of the title really describes its style. I found it was best to read aloud because it does seem like she is talking to you. It's like a long interview with herself... I loved the jokes but as a book, it was okay.

* I did not read this in its original German. Goodreads does not have an english publication listed so I just used this! * I will review it later. I am dead tired at the moment.

This is a great book. Sad, but True story and a great reason to remember the soldiers that served for us, then, as well as in any war, and the things they had to endure! They are Truly Hero's!

This was a very unsettling and tragically funny set of stories. I don't know what was really likeable about them, but I did indeed enjoy most of them. Some ended so abruptly that it left a bad taste in my mouth, but some were so spot on with matching my sense of humor. Tower's settings and characters were vivid creations and glimpses into the everyday downtrodden demographic. My favorite was the last story, which shares a title with the entire collection. It had me in fits of giggles imagining looters and pillagers with morals and boundaries. However, this is not something I'd recommend to 99% of the people who come into the library.
