I am a sucker for the anti hero. Really I mean Kat really does do illegal things for the right reasons so who can blame her. Plus I am fascinated by the slick heists this group pulls off. Can't wait for the next book!

What would happen of the you of ten years ago suddenly got plopped down into your life today? A very interesting premise well presented.

Furthering my ambition to finally complete all the books in the Dune series (I only have a couple left! Woo hoo!), this last week I read Paul of Dune. In this novel, Herbert and Anderson explain what happens between the elder Herbert’s Dune and Dune Messiah, jumping back and forth between the pre-emperor Paul and post-emperor Paul. I have to admit that the first half of the book dragged on a bit for me. The post-emperor storyline didn’t get interesting until later, but still, it felt like sitting down with an old friend. Which, of course, is a happy feeling. The pre-emperor storyline was excellent and I wish the whole book had just centered on that. Given the number of prequels and pre-prequels, it wouldn’t surprise me if the dynamic duo attempt that in the future.

I really enjoyed this book and read it in one evening. I'm still carrying it around and will probably purchase it (I've got the library's copy). This book was great for me because I (at times) experience and feel a divide in the technology realm of library science. Maybe not so much a "divide" as a segmentation of technology tools. Reading this book allowed me to see the perspectives of up and coming Librarians along with the seasoned professionals. I particularly enjoyed Katie Dunneback's interview (she runs http://younglibrarian.blogspot.com/ and is a LEEP grad). I think it's a must-read for librarians.

This is by far the best novel I've read in the last 10 months. Once in it, I was captivated, not only by the voice and language, but the plot and characters too. Verghese made me think how really one could do worse than do nothing but sit in a room and read. Read. Read. All his books.

very hard to get interested in for the first few chapters - a lot of jumping back and forth with characters and timelines but I did enjoy it after finally figuring it out

This was my first foray into the Russian must-reads, and I'm not sure I really "got" everything. The characters were interesting - I especially liked Porfiry, and Sonia's mother, and Svidrigailov. But while the long rambling dialogues about psychobabble or morality or guilt or power were often humorous, I found that much of it interrupted the flow of the novel -- perhaps I was impatient because I was reading the book for leisure.
المشهد الأخير راااائع .. بس كان نفسى يكمل
有点傻。 绝对不适合所有人。 如果您有足够的兴趣方,那么对于“天堂”,救赎与宽恕的可能性进行一些有趣的讨论是一件好事!
