Seriously, I gave Dhalgren five stars? That must've been before I reread it.

This shared a perspective of one motivation for continuing the unrest in Ireland. This book is a love story with all the tragedy of Romeo and Juliet but also sheds light on the cruelty of politcal unrest in Ireland.
I'm still loving this series! It's really heating up! :)

This told the story of a sudden technological revolution on pern, and though interesting, didn't have the character development and driving plot usually characteristic in McCaffrey's dragonrider books. I think it relied a lot upon prior knowledge of the characters from the initial trilogy featuring Lessa and F'lar.
This is a beautiful collection of poetry--strong, vivid writing. Powerful in both language and subject matter. These are not poems to be idly skimmed over, but instead, they need to be slowly read and reread with thought and active imagination. The poems often overlap or have thematically connecting imagery that runs cohesively throughout the book. There are four chapters and unlike much poetry which can be read in nonlinear fashion, I would not suggest that method for this book as it builds poem by poem.
I’ve always wanted to read The Time Traveller’s Wife, but I’ve been so waylaid that it had dropped down on my reading priority list. I finally got hold of a copy and here’s what I have to say: Once in a while, we come across a book that touches us to the very depths of our soul. For me, this is one such book. I am glad that it happened to come along in my lifetime, but I would have been willing to wait until it came.
Hypersmart and geeky high school senior Josh creates an anonymous website to preach anti-materialism, anti-consumerism, and keepin' it real in general to the masses. His "Gospel According to Larry" blog generates more interest than Josh had ever anticipated, including lots of attention from his best friend Beth that he's crushed on since sixth grade. Josh finds himself in the awkward position of co-founding the Larry fan club at his high school with Beth, and things continue to get stranger from there. I wish this had been around when I was in high school. Great book- I'm looking forward to reading the sequels.

This book got me quickly invested in learning of the main character's outcome. The story was direct and yet grabbed my heart...wanting the mother and her children's luck to turn and make their way into balance, healthy, happy lives.
it's nothing like the Twilight saga so don't be afraid to pick this one up! You won't get flashbacks of Edward and Bella :)
