Una historia y una protagonista adelantada a su época. Amé el trágico, épico y hasta casi imposible romance entre Jane y Rochester; una pareja inolvidable. Junto a Orgullo y Prejuicio, este libro se ha convertido en mi favorito!*w*

Started out great, but got way too technical with shipping and whaling. Found it dry and boring.

What an amazing book. I read it in a day and want to start again from the top. The author, Chris Cleave, weaves a marvelous tale and his sentences, metaphors, analogies are simply amazing! The dustcover of the book contains only five sentences: "This is the story of two women. Their lives collide one fateful day, and one of them has to make a terrible choice, the kind of choice we hope you never have to face. Two years later, they meet again – the story begins there … Once you have read it, you'll want to tell your friends about it. When you do,please don't tell them what happens. The magic is in how the story unfolds."

Games as a tool for social change. Interesting ideas, but it seemed a little light on empirical evidence. Some of the "games" mentioned like https://www.sparked.com/ and http://groundcrew.us/ were particularly interesting.

The setting of the book is at the basketball court because its about basketball. the character of this book is name Danny Walker. He is very short and loves to play basketball. He trys out for the school team but he dose not make it because he is to short to play. His dad was name Richie Walker. He was a pro basketball player and was very short he did not let his height stop him from playing though. Him and his dad made up there own team. It will be made up of the all the kids that got cut because the were to short or something like that. When they get there team together they go all the way to the championship and win it. The way Danny relates to me is that he loves basketball but he is short and i am tall. The conflict in my book was that he was to short to play for his school basketball team and he wants to play basketball so bad that he makes up his own team. The theme of my book gose from good because basketball season is starting. Then it gose to bad cause he tries out but he dont make the team. Then it gose back to happy because him and his dad make up there own team. then the last mood is excited because they won the championship and proved everybody wrong and that it dont matter how big you are.
I was disappointed...I must say. This is only the second "compilation" I've read, and I find I'm not much of a fan. I believe I will stick to just the authors I enjoy, and not buy compilations in the future. The parts I liked, I LOVED, so in those reading moments, I was swept away, but then pulled out of the story by the differences in the writing.

Once I started reading this, I couldn't stop. I didn't want to put it down. It made me smile. It made me cry. The writing was easy to read, but a little too full of insignificant details for my taste. I was eager to get to the "action", and it was taking too long. But I was rewarded with a truly touching story that made me stop and think.

I really enjoyed this book--it was well written and I zipped right through it, not wanting it to end.
