Okay, I haven't read it yet, but I just have to say: I love Libba Bray! The Gemma Doyle trilogy had me moping for days after I finished it. So I'm really excited for this! Update: Okay, I have to admit - I loved this book more than I should have. It had all the things I generally hate in books - A crazy, hard-to-follow plot, weird humor, ridiculous characters, strange events (e.g. That pirate ship? That was weird, man.) cliches galore... Etc. But for some strange reason... I loved it. *Shrugs.* What can I say? I'm an enigma.

An authoritative text on the script. However, this is a hard read -- not something to read for pleasure.

I thought this was good. First book I have read of hers, would like to try at least one more. Interesting perspectives since the book is written through each of the character's view of the situation.

I learned that I don't find eccentric midgets that make highly stylized allusions to archaic information and literature very interesting, but that I do like it when eccentric midgets kill their fathers and have lots of sex. So ultimately this book taught me I am shallow; goodbye Harpers, hello National Enquirer.

Surprisingly entertaining, this is an oral history of mankind’s fight against the living dead a la Turkel. I was surprised that the author manages to create many moving/striking vignettes, and his future world building seems entirely solid. For a book about zombies, his research is pretty impressive: He’s learned a lot about different cultures and made their responses to the undead menace organically rooted in their cultural attitudes. It’s a swell novel, funny and strange and thoroughly well imagined. And hell, zombies--of course it's fun.

Guaranteed to interest reluctant readers of either gender. A story of one girl's struggle with drug use and its repurcussions. Told in poetry form - all poems tell different parts of her story in altering poetic structures - makes it both an easy and challenging read. A good way to turn children on to poetry as well.

Fast 20 Jahre lebt John Doyle nun in Deutschland.

The only movie I know that is better than the book! Still a good read. Helps me remember to open up to life's experiences. As far as I can reach out of my little box that is.
