Disney/Warner Bros. lore in a psuedo-history of what might have been. Think 'Roger Rabbit' meets 'Marvels'. It's more interesting than it is entertaining.
I did not enjoy reading this book. I found it repetitive and dull. The book could have probably been just as effective in 10 pages. So why 4 stars? In the months since reading this, I can't get it out of my mind. I quote if often and have put it to very practical use in my life. It has indeed made a difference and for that I'll always be grateful.
Fast and fun read!
Loved this entire book ... the last of this book begins to search for new surprises for the reader that I felt go a tiny bit to the sci fi... but all in all, this was a great series and I recommend it highly. Every book holds your interest and there is a definite connection with the characters.. Love that I can enjoy a book written for young adults.

I have read this graphic novel about 4 times...most recently before the recent movie version. If you are a fan of the graphic novel format than this is the grandaddy of them all...if you are not a fan give this a try because it is an experience any true lover of a good story should not miss! Definitely read this before trying the movie!

This book is absolutely wonderful. The first couple chapters are very hard to get through, but it ends with a positive note. A 14 year old girl, Susie, is brutally murdered by a neighbor. The majority of the story is of Susie watching her family from heaven. I couldn't put this book down and recommend it to everyone.
Stranded on a boat, Umberto plays with language ...and reflects on war?
murders here are based on the the following rhyme. miss marple to solve the case.[return][return] sing a song of sixpence,[return] a pocket full of rye.[return] four and twenty blackbirds,[return] baked in a pie.[return][return] when the pie was opened,[return] the birds began to sing.[return] now, wasn't that a dainty dish[return] to set before the king?[return][return] the king was in his counting house,[return] counting out his money.[return] the queen was in the parlour,[return] eating bread and honey.[return][return] the maid was in the garden,[return] hanging out the clothes,[return] when down came a blackbird[return] and pecked off her nose!
