Vương Bất Kiến Vương - Tập 3 Thư viện Sách hướng dẫn

Sách được viết bởi Bởi: Phàn Lạc

I really wanted to like this one. It's the type of book I normally love. Secret society murder in an academic setting, etc. There are many things I loved about the book. I think the overall plot was well done and kept me turning pages, although I think the second part of the book was too long. What didn't grab me were the cliched characters who spent way too much of their time drinking and knocking on each others doors at all hours of the day and night. It would have been nice if any one of them had shown a shred of true remorse over their actions. Not just because they might be found out but because they actually felt bad about what they had done. It also would have been nice if the narrator had been a bit more likable or empathetic. I don't feel like the author did enough to play up everyone's supposed good points. The narrator talks about how much he cares for chis friends, but I never really got a sense from his descriptions of them why he would feel this way. I didn't find anything to like about Bunny... or any of them for that matter. I complained in an earlier review that a certain book left too many loose ends. Unfortunately, this book leaves no loose ends. The author tied everything up at the end ad nauseum. Does the reader really care what happened to the incidental student at the college or the local cops? I probably would have given the book three stars if it had just been edited a bit better, removing some of the extraneous information. Four stars if I had felt the humanity of any of the main characters. Maybe they were just too trite for my taste.
