what i learned from this book: everything about the theory of computation. this book is crystal clear. mike sipser is a master of making the most complex ideas lucid to all. some very cool ideas are covered too.

Exquisite character development. I became extremely frustrated by the architect's self-sabotage in pursuit of his ideals. That's kind of the point though; all her characters are idealistic to the point of being *almost* unrealistic, but it is in this way that she illustrates her philosophy of selfishness.

I read this some time in grade school. I remember the beginning more clearly than the other parts. Like I remember the little brother following the sister and them bathing in the foutaine and taking the money. I don't remember the answer to the mystery though or what the mystery was all about. This would probably be a fun one to reread sometime.

Peter Cameron’s Someday This Pain Will Be Useful To You is being touted by some critics as a modern version of Catcher In The Rye, which in, and of itself, is heady praise, but sells the book short. I listened to this book on audio (one of the best audio performers I've listened to date). The pitch, the character of James Sveck, the surroundings are all a literary gem. "Possibly one of the all-time great New York books, not to mention an archly comic gem" (Peter Gadol, LA Weekly), Someday This Pain Will Be Useful to You is the insightful, powerfully moving story of a young man questioning his times, his family, his world, and himself.

This taught me the spirit with which the english bureaucracy works..akin to what it is like here in India. I got that confirmed with a Civil Servant... at the provincial level. Its beautifully funny... yet thats how it works... in a democracy

Fun story for bedtime about jumping on the bed (and why you shouldn't do it!)

This is a fun and info-filled way of getting your daily dose of grammar and punk-tuation. Fun read!
Really enjoyed this book and the relationship between Pete and Carl. These are definitely criminals who have gotten away with murder, but the story is about the connection between Pete and Carl, and not the good or bad of the justice system. (sometimes folks seem to get a little hung up when crooks get a pass - it's fiction!!!)
