This book was given to me as a gift about 2 years ago and is probably not something I would have picked up off the shelf and thought "hey this looks interesting i'm going to get it" but I'm glad I finally picked it up. It actually took me a few attempts to actually finish it. At first I couldn't get past the dog being the narrator but in hindsight the story wouldn't have been as good had it been from the point of view of the human owner. I recommend this book to anyone that has a dog or likes dogs.
What I enjoyed most about his book was the setting being in Vancouver Island, giving me a vivid sense of what it is like to live in the Pacific Northwest. This book kept my interest with its twists and turns. I do feel that the story would have been better with out one section of the book because it seemed to have just been thrown in with no real purpose or connection to the rest of the story.

This is such a wonderful book. Tillie stole my heart and kept me enthralled throughout the whole book. An excellent, engaging read.
If you are interested in a quick, easy read that describes the early heresies of the early church, this is the book for you. What I truly appreciated was how the book showed the heresies of the early church are still among us today. Although this is an easy read, it is well written and provides excellent detail that makes you want to seek more about these issues.

Suspenseful and Thrilling! Aztec Mythology with a paranormal twist – totally loved it. The suspense has you on the edge of your seat in this short fast pace story. The Sun God, Goddess, Warrior, Guardian, wolf spirit, and evil demon filled this story with so much excitement just within the first page that I couldn’t believe the author packed all the action within 50 pages leaving me with wanting to know more about this pantheon of the Aztec world. The brutal fighting scenes between the warrior and the demon are thrilling and blood thirsty. There wasn’t much romance within the story due to it being so short but I loved the idea of how the spirit wolf’s (warrior) mates calling to each other that brought on uncontrollable desire towards each other with such fierce passion that it left me glued to each sentence throughout the hot erotic love scene. I only wanted more. Enjoyable read and I look forward to reading more of this authors work.
I really really liked it and couldn't put it down. Reading the journal entries made me think about my own known and unknown eastern european ancestors. I especially enjoyed reading the words from Drew's grandfather, written to his own infant daughter. His lack of formal schooling was apparent, but you could feel the love he had in his words, and you could feel the love he had FOR words. Having read such similar uneducated words from a letter of my own great-great grandfather written in Hungary over one hundred years ago, it made me wish I had known him and had walked those lands he farmed all those years ago. And while those days were full of hardships, sorrow and loss, they were also full of beauty, happy times and love. And while I really enjoyed Nina's character, I also learned 'what not to do' in life and who 'not to be'. It was very fine story. This book made we want to go out and buy something made of amber!

A fun quick read. Not really a moral to the story but very entertaining

It was kind of confusing, but it was good. Good message, I guess.

Words fail. Not because of the genius contained within this books pages, though it is there but because this book has meant almost everything to me. More in the life I have built around what it has done to me... what it has made of me, than what it contained. I hardly remember the begining... I do not think it was memorable; but the rest lives in every thought I have had since. All these years later and I still love big brother...
I found this really cheap at a used bookstore. It looks terrible, and since it was published in 1992, it obviously was a rush-job to capitalize on the sensationalism of the Dahmer case. However, I'm well-known amongst my friends and acquaintances as a bit of a Dahmer obsessive, so I more or less just bought it to add to my "collection."
