A sweet story about the seemingly small, but ultimately heart-wrenching and expansive lives, of two old-sames from different backgrounds and villages in China.

I think that Malkom Slaine may be one of my favorite Immortals After Dark characters. He's just so...I don't know. He's something though, that's for damn sure. In Demon from the Dark we travel with Carrow the Incarcerated into Oblivion where she is to get Malkon Slaine, a demon turned vampire, to go back with her to the Immortal Internment Compound. The Immortal Interment Compound is where the Order, a human organization set on ridding the world of the creatures we've come to love, are keeping immortals captive. Malkom is said to be the strongest immortal known. He's dark, scary, and sexy as hell. But come on, which of Cole's male characters aren't any of these things. Gotta love these guys! Carrow realizes soon after meeting the vemon she's to capture, that she's his mate. She's blooded him and now Malkom wants nothing more than to make her his. They have a communication problem, Carrow speaks Anglish, Malkom speaks Demonish. This situation caused for a few laughs. "I should name you Wilson the Volleyball. You understand as much as Wilson did and respond as infrequently. What's that?" She cupped her ear as if the demon had spoken. "No, no, you're right, Wilson was more hygienic." The story played out real well and I loved all the characters. Even the bad guys! Definately a good read!
Enjoyable story. The characters were easily attached to though a bit predictable. I did enjoy the fact that Logan was a bit volatile but just as much loving and protective. Nate was the perfect counter balance. He could bring logic and calmness to Logan. The plot was pretty typical of what I had read of the series. The story has a bit of a slow start but once it really gets going (took me until about half way) the story really grabbed me.
This is a great book for elementary level students to start introducing the use of different adjectives.
Depressing, but insightful. Don't bother seeing the film.

Tacky is sloppy and clumsy and he stands out from the other perfectly coiffed penguins in his group like a sore thumb. I'm all for stressing individuality, but I'm not really sold this time. Tacky's friends enter into a cheering competition and Tacky keeps flubbing up the routine. The judges are bored with all of the perfect penguins so Tacky's awkwardness catches their eye and he wins first place for his group.

I totally fell in love with this book. I could really see everything that was being described and I loved the characters. Would recommend it to anyone.
The last of classic, if late period, Delillo. The Mailer-esque metaphor/summary at the end certainly doesn't justify the length, but as an obvious attempt at a magnum opus, it doesn't fall too terribly short. The casuaul reader would probably be better off reading White Noise, The Names or Mao II.
if you are just gonna but one cook book, this could be it
