Annabelle Dhont _nnabelle_ — Not recommended for ex-smokers, this made me miss cigarettes. This is told first person from the monster’s perspective until the very end where it switches. Its a strange thing to read because you want to sympathize with the narrator yet he’s a monster, but then he also finds himself disgusting, but then he keeps doing monstrous things. I found it intriguing and fairly well written (except for the overuse of my least favorite word for female genitalia) until the very end. The last couple of chapters switch viewpoint, and without getting too spoiler-y, let me just say that I think that was a bit of cop out on the author’s part.

Anatoly Kosak krasnodar — I'm a huge fan of paranormal romance books, although I admit that I am somewhat new to the genre. I've read several of the most popular series of books in this genre (Immortals After Dark and Black Dagger Brotherhood, etc.) so I really didn't expect to fall in love with another series like I did those. WRONG! While these books are more about action than sex - it totally works for these characters and this series. Cat and Bones have such a delicious love/hate relationship at first. (Well, all the hate being on Cat's side.) It was fun to watch it bloom into something more. If anyone reading this remembers the TV show Moonlighting, you'll appreciate this book. Cat and Bones have this great back and forth banter that is always laced with a little bit of sex. While they might be arguing - you know they're both thinking about what it's like to make out with the other one. That element alone makes this worth reading. All that aside - the concept is great. Cat - the half human/half vampire who hunts and kills vamps. Bones - the 240 year old vampire who hunts the bad vamps for money. I can't wait to sink my teeth into the rest of the series. (And yes - that is such a bad pun to use when describing a vampire book. But, I.DO.NOT.CARE.) :)

Lael Ajay liajay — I thought this book was brilliant, it was touching! 10 0ut of 10!

Ryan Huang ryan4545 — King's Dragon is more of a fantasy novel, a surprising departure from his popularity as a horror fiction writer. Taking place in a medieval kingdom, it employs familiar archetypes and motifs: a monarch in decline, sibling rivalry, an evil, menacing wizard, and of course, a dragon. That may sound bland to both fans and non-fans of the genre, but King doesn't disappoint. It's a tale with finely etched characters, of suspense and intrigue, and ultimately heroism and triumph. His merit as a writer is the subject of much divided criticism, but Dragon proves that King is still a master storyteller.

Marina Kasatkina merula_alba013f — I enjoyed this one but thought it moved a little slowly. It also had the unfortunate timing of being read right after I read Brisingr. I liked the sequels quite a bit more.

Elisha Chaplin elishachaplin — There were so many things to love about this book. Being a HUGE fan of the Demonica Series I was crazy excited to read this spin-off series! The things is...I had no idea that it would be so feckin' good! Cara is an out of work vet who is falling on hard times. One day an acquaintance shows up on her doorstep with an injured dog and she saves the puppy's life(she names him Hal...for halitosis...tehee). But this aint no ordinary puppy...its a hellhound! Because she saved Hals life he bonds to her life force. Then there's fine ass Ares...the second Horseman of the Apocalypse(War). If you've read Demonica(if not whats ur deal?!lol) then you'll remember him from Sin Undone. Because Sin started that warg plague which lead to a war betwixt the wargs she broke Reseph's seal turning him into Pestilence and now he's a CRAZY mofo!! Spreading disease all over the world while trying to break his siblings seals. And bringing down the Apocalypse. Some how Cara ends up being the key to breaking Ares' seal so he has to protect her at all costs. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. Got to see some of my favorites from the Demonica series. I can't wait til the next one!! Did I mention there will be upside down tree sex?! Loved it Loved it Loved it;)
