Levia Lv levia — This book is a fascinating, well-written pop-psychology book. Not a "how-to-be-happy" instruction book, but a look at the various pyschological studies that have been done examining how the brain tricks us into being more, or less, happy with a given situation. Not a book that I would say everyone has to go out and read, but definitely worth a look.

Thomas Salkins belzedare763 — I really enjoyed the first of the Robert Langdon books Demons and Angels, and thought it was excellent, and The Da Vinci Code was pretty good, but this book struck me as boring and repetitive. It was too focused on Langdon's 'attractiveness'and his ignorance of it, explaining why hi is now on romance number three in as many books, and the overdone stretch that was the plot. I finished it and thought, 'Well, 2/3, not bad' and ended the series with an overall opinion that it was good, but imagine my surprise when I realized that there was, in fact, going to be another book. The series should have ended with The Da Vinci Code, I will not be continuing the series.

Lizzie S _svburen — Fucking hilarious!!! Probably my favorite David Sedaris book. It made me wish he had another book written so I could stay in his crazy world longer.

L P linpenghsy — I was surprised by how "un-scary" this book was. It was certainly a fast read because King writes it in a conversational tone and it's marginally satisfying to hear about his life as a famous (rich) novelist. I was actually inspired to write for a little while when I first read it. (Nevermind the fact that I was reading it for a Creative Writing class and I had to write assignments!) In the end, King resorts to a pretty predictable message: the more practice you get, the better writer you become. Some people might like this book because King discusses other writers and their books.

Ksenia Kim kimberly98d6b2 — The series really starts picking up from here, I think. I found it much easier to connect on a personal level with the characters, and to be honest it was a relief to see something other than Bill & Sookie, considering how much of an idiot he's being. It was interesting to see more of the shifters as well, although I think there's a lot of untapped potential there. I have to admit that Harris knows how to churn out the cliff-hangers; this book is equally as funny and addictive as the previous ones.

Federica Negroni negronifederica — I loved the format of this book. You feel like you are eavesdropping.

Melissa Galvão melissagalvao — Had to add this series. My all-time favorite story.

aurepavi
Aure Pavi aurepavi — A very funny book with great characters and a mixture of themes. This is a love story between shopping, and friends. Our heroine loves life almost as much as shopping. She hates her jobs except that it allows her time and money to shop. She obviously has OCD for shopping. She lies to her boss, her bank, her parents, her friends and to anyone that prevents her from doing what she likes. She has no will power whatsoever. She is in the banking industry and has no concept of money, a great premise and contradiction. She even advises her parents neighbors without stopping and thinking or knowing what it is she is advising them on. She finally meets her creditors and a conference, strictly by accident and she is caught. While she did have an opportunity to be with two different men who could have rescued her from her money woes, as they had money, she turned both away. She finally saves herself, her parents neighbors and wins the man who sees her for what she is and loves her anyway. I will read the follow up novels

pilgrim
Jun Jun pilgrim — I was amazed to read this book and follow the twisted lives of these charaters, it seemed so much like a soap opera. It was funny and intriguing and so unlike some of Steinbeck's other novels.
