Well, hello, Grimm. I liked you in book 1 and everything but you blew me out of the water in this book. Because, you know, I'm all about the sexy, tormented hero who has to find a way to be with the woman he loves beyond all others. That's you, Grimm. You're the sexy, tormented hero and I'm totally down with you nailing the girl. I'm also down with her initiating the nailing and going all GRRRR on you when you're trying to be noble. I'm an equal opportunity nailer. Or however you'd put that. I loved Grimm. Loved him. He was both passionate and controlled, wild and loving. It didn't even bother me that he continually tried to deny his feeling for Jillian. Normally I'd be sending a virtual smack up alongside the head for that, but it worked here. Maybe it was because their interactions were so incredibly cute. I don't know. I just... liked it. I liked that Jillian ended up childishly telling him that she hated him every time he'd pick on her. I liked that he resorted to practically pulling her pigtails whenever they'd get close to one another. I loved that she couldn't keep her eyes off him. It was sweet. Which is a funny thing to say since Grimm is such a badass warrior. I mean, he can channel such power and yet in Jillian's presence he's smitten. He's putty. He's a gooey molten chocolate cake with a delicious filling. Oh. That sounds naughty when it's not in my head. Anyway. I really liked this one. Tormented men are my downfall. Grimm's got that going for him and he's kinda awesome because of it. -Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal

In truth I didn't finish the book, I just skimmed the last half. Their premise is like mine, so it was nice to read a similar point of view, but their method is nothing like mine and I found it tedious to read. For anyone that has at least some experience with Reiki but not with Shamanic healing, I would recommend this book. It just wasn't for me.

Each chapter opens with a Seduction Tip that often made me chuckle at its absurdity. What scares me most is that these tips were probably real and not made up by Richard Uhlig. In that case, what sort of man would even follow these tips in hopes of becoming a "Seductive Man"? I guess, the answer would be young boys who don't know any better like Les. As I said before, Boy Minus Girl was a little too much boy perspective for me. I found it somewhat amusing, but nothing too spectacular. Complete review on my blog

A great book that gives us great insight into the world of Aztec's and other tribes that inhabited Mexico just prior to the Spanish coming and when they first got here. It really makes you feel like you have walked in another world that once was. It does not really come from any point of view that is trying to influence the way you feel about the history. You are able to appreciate the Aztec way of life, while also being shocked at times by their ways and realizing that it was an empire that was knocked down by another empire. There is a lot of cool religious stuff that draws parallels between the Ancient Aztec religion and Christianity. The main characters life may at times seem unreal but he is an extradinary character, not an average citizen, and there is a magic to him, a destiny of sorts that worked for me. Montezuma is portrayed in an intersting way, that makes you think and question other modern leaders. The art of war is also on center stage as is human nature and all it's deception and cruelty. Great book, read it!

This isn't the exact version I read, but it will do. Took awhile to get into the jargon used, but once there, it was a very interesting story. Much better with the last chapter.

I love Jane Austen. The first time I read one of her books in high school, I couldn't stand all the conversation that filled the pages. But now I love it! There is so much meaning hidden in all those words. I wish I could be as eloquent as Lizzie!
