I thought this book was very thought provoking and had some good information about Eve and what happened in the Garden of Eden. I learned some important things through the reading of this book that I hadn't learned before. I was also presented with some interesting questions from the author that gave me some food for thought. The research was well thought out and the quotations she shares from modern revelation and the prophets were astounding. It was also interesting to note the research and opinions she had about modern {and not-so-modern} feminism and the issues so many people have had with the female gender and how those issues correlate to Eve. Another thing I was most certainly reminded of in the reading of this book was how valiant Eve must have been in the pre-mortal life and of the vastly important mission she was given in her mortal existence. These thoughts did inspire me to be a better person and to look more to the examples of the women in the scriptures and the challenges they faced. I did think there were a couple parts of this book that were not as thoroughly researched or presented as well as they could have been. For example, I don't know if the event of Noah's flood was taken into account in some of the speculation she makes. Granted, this speculation is presented by way of scientific evidence, but I think it should still be an event worth considering on behalf of the author. What I struggled with the most was the redundancy of some of the chapters. She was constantly restating her thoughts and opinions, not even changing the wording, just restating almost word for word as it had been stated previously. I understand that thoughts should be presented, evidence given to back up the conjecture, and then the presenter's theory restated. But I felt the author went over the top with her restatements and got bored with the way she would repeat herself. I also found the last couple of chapters mostly unnecessary for the book. If I pick up a book that is supposed to be about Eve, I do not expect to find chapters about the things I need to do in my spiritual life. Most of the time, the connections between these chapters on modern day spiritual progression as it should apply to me personally and to Eve, her mission, and the Garden of Eden, were stretching it, at best. That being said, I did still like the book and found some valuable insight to be learned from reading it.
