Mr. Palahniuk may have blown his wad with this one. Though I have been told that choke is worth reading, I'm putting it off for a while. Love the themes in this one, though, if the style gets a little old.

Melusine Series: Book #4 I found this to be a good ending to this series. I love good characters and ones that aren't always perfect and good. This series throughout it's four book gave me plenty of that. Felix is a brat and so damaged and the writer makes no bones about it. AndMildmay is always looking for love and acceptance and lacking in confidence and self-worth. They are a mess. But in this book by the end I saw that they were learning and growing, and perhaps even getting better.They did not remain stagnant or change the basics of who they were even while evolving. By the end of the book I felt that...yes...maybe I just might finally be happy. They are still not perfect and they still are damaged goods..but in the end they have each other and are trying to be better, and perhaps that is all they need to do.The book also left enough room and hints that more stories in this world might be coming, there is still much to tell.

this book is a very comprehensive, first hand account of john lennon in the late 1970's and the tumultuous relationships he had with friends and family. it pulls him down off the pedestal a bit, which is necessary. loved it.

I actually finished this book during the week, I got it on my phone via the Kindle android app, to start with I didn't know if i was going to enjoy it but I ended up enjoying this book more than I thought I would, mainly because it turned out to be a more complex plot than I expected. The storyline was quite original, although it seemed like there were several similarities to the X-Men comics in some ways.

this was a wonderful book, but you have to really, really, really like non linear narratives. Note that the geography extends from Petaluma, CA, to Divisidaro Street in SF, CA, to mining towns in the Nevada desert, and then finally a small town in the south of France.
