Well, Jessica does it again. In the midst of a Maine winter, Jessica once again solves a strange murder, this time in Cabot Cove's newly renovated ice rink. Naturally, I won't disclose the killer, but, as usual, it's well worth the read. Very entertaining.

This is the second book in the series. I enjoyed reading this book and the author is pretty imaginative.

Couldn't put it down. Sure, not super-high-quality literature, but still fun and exciting.

Are you the type of person who avoids reading the newspaper? Does politics scare you too? Then check out this fabulous book by Jim Hightower! Learn what you really need to know (and avoid ever taking a polisci class) about politics, corporate badness, mad cow disease, organic food, and how breast cancer awareness month is actually a scam. This is a MUST READ for anyone who wants to know about what’s happening in this world. Hightower says it like it is and he is funny as hell too. Also, his chapters are short so you don’t have to read about one subject for too long. If you’re only going to read one book this summer make it this one. "I am an agitator, and an agitator is the center post in a washing machine that gets the dirt out." --Jim Hightower

funny! I remember the title comes from a story about her gardener, which is excellent!

james Patterson is well known for his thrilling tales. His main character, Dr Cross, is one of my favorite. A big, black, Washington DC cop and physchologist who is a single parent of 3 kids and lives with his grandmother, Nana Mama. Kiss the Girls was later made in to a movie, I have yet to see. After reading the book I may just take a look at it. This book is intense. Dr Cross is in search of his niece who has been kidnapped from college in the south. The search takes him also to LA where he hunts another serial killer. The two stories weave together in the Patterson style. Exciting to the very last page. A really good read.

Funny and hilarious. Very engaging - Securities Industries 101 simplified!
This is a great way to look at cooking--not through recipes, but at the whole picture. Though, his whole picture includes a lot more lobster and foie gras than mine.

Amazing. Absolutely incredible, and I don't know how she wrote it. When I heard about the book, I thought it sounded morbid and grotesque. And then I heard it was narrated entirely in the voice of a five year old boy named Jack, whose entire world, all he's ever known, is a room wherein his mother has been held captive by a sexual kidnapper for over seven years. I thought, "Oh, this is either going to be spectacular or a trainwreck." Survey says: spectacular. From Jack's viewpoint, we see how small his world is, yet how it is his whole universe. Room is where he lives. Bed is where his mommy sleeps. Cupboard is where he sleeps. They drink from cup, and sit at Table. Every object is sacred, is given a proper name, is of use. And one day, his mother decides she has to get out of the locked room where they've lived for Jack's entire life. She tries to prepare him for the unimaginable: that she hates his world and wants him to learn to live in a world he believes is only on Television. This is one of the most unforgettable books I've ever read. 2/27
