Interesting points, an easy read, reads exactly like how'd Alex Gee speaks.

More creates a perfect world that wants to function on one basis: the complete denial of human nature. It is a very interesting read, which barely veils the contempt the author feels for the society in which he lives. Curiously, it seems things haven't changed much since this book was first written, and most of the criticisms it makes can still be made today.

i'd give this book 3 1/2 stars! It seemed to be a little slow in the beginning and lacked detail but after page 100 things reved up and i didn't want to put it down. Allie Beckstrom is a hound,on her 25th birthday her life gets a bit crazy, being accused of murder, mysterious romance, on the run, and people out to kill her. think things couldn't get worse? well, on top of all that and then some, she sometimes loses bits and pieces of her memory after using magic. there is always a price to pay for using magic.

It took me a long time to read this. It is not typically the kind of book I would read just for fun. It was really fascinating and quite humorous. I enjoyed it.
What a fun book! I really enjoyed this read. I hope the author is busy working on a sequel because I really enjoyed these characters and their backstories as well as the situations that they now find themselves in.
** spoiler alert ** Although it's a good story, I could not recommend this book to a child. It's dark and sad with a barely happy ending. Don't read it on a rainy day.

I rarely give a book a full 5 stars, but this one truly deserves the highest rating possible. I've never read a piece of historical fiction that brings the characters to life as much as this novel does. I love to learn new things, and this book prompted me to read more about that period in European history. This was the best historical fiction novel I have ever read. Whenever I pick up a book of any genre of fiction, I'm always hoping that I will find a character (or characters) who will be interesting and who I will grow to admire as the story progresses. The Queen's Fool is Hannah, and she captured my heart in the first 20 pages. Told from her point of view, the novel weaves her fictional life into the intriguing cloth of the people and events of Tudor England. The author did a fabulous job of researching the history of this period, and inspired me to read more about Mary I of England, Elizabeth I of England, and Robert Dudley, 1st Earl of Leicester. I've always been at least slightly interested in British history, but this novel has certainly piqued my hope to learn more. One thing I found extra cool about this novel is that some of it takes place in Hampton Court, and I was privileged to visit there while in high school, so I was able to imagine it as it really is. Another important thing to me when reading a book is a happy ending. I don't like sad or unfinished endings. While this novel doesn't actually end happily for everyone, it is a satisfying conclusion to a very enjoyable read. I look forward to reading more of Philippa Gregory's talent-filled tomes.

This book, compared to the rest of the series, actually isn't that bad. There is some interesting time in Jacob's perspective, and Bella makes a good vampire. But it's Twilight, and for some reason I just read the whole series. There goes my life.

I really loved this story! Loved how Lindsay revamped her To-Do List, and love how she finally was able to "see the forest" and realize that Ryan DID like her...in fact, loved her, and when she realized that, and knew she loved him, too....that was just perfect!
