I enjoyed this book. Anatoly is hot headed, street smart, loyal, sexy, and all about his business. I keep askin myself Dmitry or Anatoly? The father or the son? I haven't come up with that answer yet. Good book. I'm ready for the 4th book, to come already.

I was torn whether to give this book 3 stars or 4. When I first came into this book I was really expecting to love it just as much as I had when read the previous three. Sadly, it was not what i expected it to be-Then again are any of the books in the Gone series what you expect them to be?- Although I enjoyed it through out the first 300 pages. It got to a point where the story just got a little too gruesome to my liking. Of course, as there are in most books, there were many slow points! Maybe it's just because I like focus my self into a set of characters especially when it comes to this series, and they're the only ones i want to read about in the FAYZ. But I found myself being bored throughout some chapters. However, I am not saying the "slow-parts" weren't relevant to the story. In fact I think once you got through those chapters it was much, much, much easier to identify different aspects of the book you may not have seen in Gone, Hunger, or Lies. As for the book it was very mixed emotions I felt for it. Part of me wants to say that it was great and another part just wants to say it was bad because i had envisioned something different upon reading the book. So if i had to say something about this book i guess the only thing i can say is if you don't have a strong stomach, DO NOT READ PLAGUE! But other than that it was very interesting and I enjoyed the majority of it(:

This book was a very fast read. I debated adding a fourth star, but ultimately decided on three because I felt like the author's opinions on society were more overt and less buried within the plot as with some of his other work, which I enjoeyd more (Survivor, Choke). Having said that, the characters in this novel are interesting, and the plot is complex (especially considering its short length), and it gets wrapped up very concisely in last chapter, which left me nodding my head in approval and amazement at the author's creativity and imagination.

I love this edition of the New Testament, mainly for one single reason -readability. Most Bible printings make them an absolute pain in the a** to read. I have a number of different Bible translations, and I absolutely HATE that stupid dual-column layout that's the printing standard for the majority of editions out there. After years spent searching for a nice, easy-to-read, modern English translation of the Bible with a single column layout, I finally stumbled on this one in a used book store (along with it's twin companion volumes covering the Old Testament). The way the text appears on the page makes such a difference. When a Bible's text is printed on the page like a regular book, it reads as a flowing whole. When it's printed in cramped dual-columns and crowded in by textual notes and reference numbers, one's reading of the text becomes fragmented. The only thing that would make this particular edition of the New Testament perfect would be if they had completely eliminated those obnoxious and distracting chapter and verse numbers from the text. As it is, this is about as good as copy as I could have hoped to find. If you can find yourself a used copy, this is a great one to own.
