I really disliked this book. Not only was it depressing but the characters were self-centered snobs. I did not feel bad for them at all. They were selfish and imperious. The book felt long and dragged with the same complaints from the main characters in every chapter. There were two other families that had side plots that were also lame and depressing. I only finished reading so that I could see what happened in the end and needless to say I was dissapointed. All in all I cannot believe that I read this book when there are so many others out there. I am confused why this was made into a movie.

This book was very good. It was scary but it was more suspensful. It was also very creepy. I recommend this book to people that enjoy scary books. If these stories really happened, it's creepy and demonic and I feel bad for the people it happened to.

This is a fun book, that I recommend to any Looney Tunes fan. It contains an overview of not only the main characters, but a few obscure ones as well. This book is full of hundreds of color drawings. The only real drawback to this book is that it lacks any real depth. It does not contain much detail on the history or backstory of the company or artists involved in the creation of the characters that have touched so many lives, over the decades.

Talk about twists & turns--Patterson has once again kept me thinking I had everything figured out only to be surprised again and again. Loved the ending.

Yet another Potter book. I think that this was a very good movie, but honestly, I'm less impressed with this book. In particular, I'm not a huge fan of the house elf controversy (which was thankfully excluded from the movie). I'm puzzled why very rich influential white people continue to create characters that speak in ebonics and play up to the horrible stereotype that African Americans still encounter. I suppose when you have Ms. Rowling write the house elf Winky as an Aunt Jemima character that LOVES slavery, than there is good reason that such a stereotype abounds. Disappointing to say the very least. Don't get me wrong, I still love Harry Potter and have a great deal of respect for Rowling.....it's just...as Ron would say, "Come off it!"

I love Dr. Laura's approach usually, but I felt in this book she attacked women and blamed them for every problem in a marriage. I did find it comical that women would call in looking for Dr. Laura's support and then all the blame would get turned back on themselves. haha! Although, it got really old when Dr. Laura continually would say that the marriage problems were all the women's fault and not even a teeny bit of blame fell on the men cuz the women made them that way. What I did learn from it was that I should try to see things from my husbands perspective more often.

The book's title is code for a pre-20th century definition of the word "ejaculation." And the first poem in it is its best.

Excelent insights for life and business.
I loved Pilgrims Progress so I thought I would like this book more. Perhaps the edition was lacking in something, but I found it very difficult reading and very slow. I did find somethings that I will use later and that I found to be beneficial to my Christian life, but overall I can't say it would be a book that I would recommend.
This a very good book to keep on hand. I have refered to it again recently and it's still helpful to me.
