Ladies and gentleman of the jury I find the book The Titans Curse by Rick Riordian to be excellent at teaching me about Greek history, giving me the thrill of action and at the same time making me laugh. However, there were areas in which the book was not quite as good at teaching people how to deal with problems without pulling out a sword, and fighting them. But I do know how to kill a monster if I ever need to. The book Titans curse was made in the year 2007. It has 312 pages, and is popular among young adults. The book is about Percy Jackson and his friends who are once again on a trip that if failed they could lose the war against the Titans and their followers. Grover has sent Percy, Thalia, and Annabeth a distress call saying he may have found some very powerful demigods, but there is a monster in disguise that knows who they are as well. While during a battle against this monster to protect the two new demigods the hunters of Artemis come to the rescue, but Annabeth was knocked off the cliff they were near along with the monster. Percy now desperate to save Annabeth from the falling ceiling in his dreams uses an invisibility cap and follows, Bianca one of the demigods they were saving who has decided to become a hunter, Zoe the 2nd in command of the Hunters under Artemis. Grover and Thalia two of his friends chosen to go because Zoe refuses to take men on her quest meant to save Artemis but what they don’t know is that Annabeth is with her. In the end Bianca and Zoe died of noble causes. But Annabeth and Artemis were saved. Some things that I would have like to ask the author is what made him decide for Bianca, and Zoe to die? And how does he combine romance, drama, action, and Greek history and make it this amazing? We may never know.

This was a good book, but very confusing at the start. It is written as a series of letters and it is hard to keep track of all of the people especially when you can't read the book all in one sitting. It was a very interesting read about WWII though. I felt that the ending was wrapped up too quickly. The whole book is leading up to the ending and there are only two pages that summarize it.

I should have read the first few pages before buying the book! That'll teach me. The title deceives - a lot - as I was expecting a book about... well, the mind, and how it works. Instead, I've got mostly chapters devoted to a specific psychological issue (anxiety, anger, addiction, ...) but none of the first few sentences explain in detail how these things appear in our mind. Yes there's an explanation: 2 lines, and the rest of the chapter devoted to self-assesment, and symptoms. Every advice on every issue is largely the same: eat more healthy, exercise more often, allow happy thoughts to sip through and write down what you feel. Book done...
